FOX News network is at it again. This time citing Nas's attempt to call his new album "Nigga." Watch the reps from allhiphop.com & sohh.com try to defend Nas's move and tell me what you think

yea, coz that shoot em up song is the only song nas ever did...these mutha fuckas done played that song on FOX way too many times trying to define Nas...

And both of them trying to defend Nas didnt do a good job but I guess that's not their fault. If they didnt act defensive and tried to overtalk the hosts to bring their point across, they woulda been called ignorat by the mostly white suburbian audience. Still, they could have said what message is bush sending out with the war? The shock and Awe, the nuclear weapons...and if they wanna say thats to protect the american people then Nas is only sending the same message to get your self a gun and protect yourself instead on relying on other to do that for you...

basically, they find yet another way to talk shit about hiphop and put down an intelligent black man by pointing out the worst lines and ignoring any positive messages he might have...way to go FOX....

I agree with what Sikhmade said. If I was ever in a position where I was invited onto fox news I would flat out refuse. They dont allow you to intelligently debate with them. The hosts cut off the guests anytime something intelligent is said that goes against what they are reporting...

LOL Fox news at it again. Nas is amazing. Who cares what he names his album, it's probably just for publicity anyway. LOL @ "people are dying in philadelphia because someone killed them because they got influenced by someone like this."

I mean the level of arguments presented by Fox News are repeatedly extremely simple. LOL I mean seriously, who can believe some of the shit they say? They say some of the most simple-minded shit ever, like what they said about Philly. And I like how Bill O'Reilly said "they" should hit coit tower. LOL.

"Famous songs like SHOOT EM UP & HIP HOP IS DEAD" <- Those songs fucking suck, they can't even chose the chart toppers.

Thank God those reps where there. They didn't really defend him but they spoke from both perspectives saying that he has different songs and some of which are positive.

I really don't why the ANCHORS, whom are white, are making a big deal out of it. Like they said it's a culture which they don't understand. Not to say I condone violence but they just chose the worst songs to rep Nas

I think he's not going on the show because they don't let anyone get their point across. It happens to everyone who goes on Fox News.

I know clearly in this case the anchors have no say in it, but in general, do you think hiphop culture should have limits in terms of who's involved? We talked about that a lot at school, just wondering what you think.

Fuck Fox News...... they take everything out of context, pick Nas most controversial songs and lyrics... why didn't they play if I ruled the world or one mic? Nas knows what he is doing....

Fox news said the song Hip Hop is Dead is hatefull? Nope... Hip Hop is Dead and it is fake ass rappers like Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, etc..... all the commercial ass rappers that are killing it. How many rappers write their own rhymes?

Besides Nas is not the first to have a controversial album title.... any one hear of MF Doom?

He used to be part of KMD before he went solo...

Got shelfed in 1994 due to issues then released in 2004....

"The group, minus Onyx, later recorded a controversial album titled Black Bastards in 1994. The album was shelved due to its controversial cover, which depicts a Sambo caricature being hung in a game of hangman, with the three letter As as the only letters not filled in. After Subroc's unexpected death from being struck by a car during the production of Black Bastards, Zev vanished from the music scene and reappeared as MF DOOM." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KMD

Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z. is a 1993 album released by rapper Tupac Shakur. Similar to his debut, the album contains many tracks emphasizing 2Pac's political and social views. Debuting at #24 on the Billboard 200, this album saw more commercial success than 2Pacalypse Now, and there are many noticeable differences in production. It spawned the hits "Keep Ya Head Up" and "I Get Around" and reached platinum status.
