Best shootout ever in a movie. The sound is so intense.

I believe this movie came out before that LA bank robbery though. So I would think this movie gave those 2 shooters some inspiration.

yeah heat was loosely based on that bank robbery. i remember i watched that shit live and those two fools didnt even kill 1 cop with all that shit they had.

I agree, that's one of my fav movies. That shootout was too good. Movie came out in like '95, that scene still hasn't been topped.

Yeah it hasn't and the reason it probably hasn't is because everyone is a fucking bitch these days. "These voilent movies are putting ideas into people's heads." Fucking nerds man. That's another reason why there isn't no hard gangster movies anymore either. Movies just ain't as realistic anymore and I think writers are just afraid to catch some criticism for it. People kill people, not ideas from movies or video games.

Huh?

Heat came out in 1995 and the North Hollywood shootout happened in 1997.

The writers must have had one hell of a budget to go into the future to base Heat off of the shootout lol.
