I bought this book the other day, just because I hadn't read a book in a while. I used to read novels quite a bit when I was young, but lately school has made it so I don't want to read anything because of all the studying I do. I'm in my last year of school, and I no longer have exams to study for, I just work full time for free to complete my degree and get licensed by the State Board. So I bought this book just because of the caption on the display case at the bookstore (it said "If you don't take this note to the police and get them involved, I will kill a lovely blond schoolteacher somewhere in Napa County. If you do take this note to the police, I will instead kill an elderly woman active in charity work. You have six hours to decide. The choice is yours."), and DAMN, it was fuckin' dope. I highly recommend it. It's 400 pages and I read it in a matter of no time. Great murder/horror/mystery plot. I'm going to see about reading some of his other novels. Anyone else read Dean Koontz's work, or do any of you have any favorite current authors? Speak on it........

Is "Intensity" the one in the Motorhome? I think I read that a while back and it scared the shit outta me. Mr. Murder was a weird book, but reminded me a lot of a Steven King book I read. FunHouse is another one of the scariest books I have ever read in my life. Made me scared of carnivals and shit.

I LOOOVE John Grisham. A Time To Kill is the best book I have ever read. The Brethren is a great book about some old judges in jail who have the best scam in the world. The Testament is about a crazy old billionaire with hella kids who kills himself and leaves all of this money to a daughter no one knows about who lives in the jungle and they send a drunk lawyer to find her. Really good read!

The Stand and It by Steven King are two more great books, but they are both about 8 inches thick, so you gotta be in it for the long haul when you start reading them. I thought Carrie was a really good book, too. I never read Christine, but I want to.

Yeah, that's the one!! I have read all of his books numerous times! The Street Lawyer, is that the one where the guy shot up the law office and the lawyer gave up his prestigous position to work with the less fortunate? The Runaway Jury was good. I have only read that one once..I need to find it and read it again.

One thing I really love about Grisham is he makes the movies to the book stay pretty close to the things that hapen in the book.

I recently picked up False Memory, Midnight, and From the Corner of his Eye all by Dean Koontz. I'm currently reading False Memory and it's pretty fuckin' tight so far (I'm only on page 125 and it's 700+ pages deep). I'd like to read all three of these books while I'm on break from school. I wish I had more time to read.

Naner12 if you still have Watchers laying around I may want to take you up on that offer some day......
