DAMN, IS THE FIGHT REALLY GONNA BE $50.00? DID ANYBODY WATCH THE "COUNTDOWN TO MOSLEY VS. VARGAS" ON HBO? DID I HEAR CORRECTLY, THAT VARGAS ONLY PAID MOSELY $30,000 ON THE $100,000 BET THAT THEY HAD IN THE FIRST FIGHT? AND THEN VARGAS MADE THE SAME $100,000 BET FOR THE SECOND FIGHT AND MOSELY SAID TO MAKE IT A 1 MILLION AND VARGAS DIDN'T WANT TO ANYMORE.

Vargas is nothing more than a Top B class fighter. He has never beat any of the top fighters in their prime. He robbed Wright becasue he was a nobody at the time. He is nothing more than a gate keeper between the have and the have not fighters. Yeah, he'll always give a good fight but he doesn't have what it takes to beat any of the top A list fighters. Mosley in a decision.

Well said...Whats goin' Mac I knew Mosley was gonna touch em up. Vargas is washed. Been washed since De La Hoya got with him. Sad But he'll only be remembered for fighting some of the best prize fighters of our era.

^^Yeah his old man was there. I didn't expect it to be that one sided but at the same time it didn't surprise me at all. The knockdown was clean though, that combined with Ponce De Leon's knockout of Sod Looknongyangtoy(that shit was clean, that fool was out for over a minute) made the card almost worth the money. Not to mention Juan Diaz's lopsided win over Suico. It was a decent card all around, maybe not worth the money, but it gave me an excuse to have people over and to get fucked up.

I paid for it and have no regrets. The fights were good. One cat go knocked out cold. That fool was sleep. Vargas has been washed up since Trinidad beat the crap out of him. He has never recovered from that beating he took. Sugar Shane looked good. He was too quick for Vargas, and Vargas was too slow for Sugar Shane. Shane ko'd him with a clean as left hook. Vargas at 28 is done. Stick a fork in him.
