If you don't have too much of a hangover, and have a few hours to kill tomorrow morning, Vallejo Together will be hosting the 4th Mobile Care to Share Unit @ River Park on Wilson Ave. We will be there at 8:30, passin out coats, blankets and gloves, etc., along with hot soup, coffee, and hot chocolate to our homeless friends. We also have "extra" toys left over from last weeks Christmas Giveaway.

Please join us if you can, and if you have any extra coats blankets or clothes, drop them off. You can also drop them off to me at any point today.

(I do this every saturday, but don't really broadcast it here, but this week we are low on coats and blankets and need all the help we can get)

All you gotta do is find a coat or a blanket you don't use anymore and a paper plate and fork with your leftovers, and give it to that person you pass on your way to work, or the store or where ever you go and see someone who has a lot less than you do.

My uncle died homeless on Springs Rd. Everyone in town kinda knew him as one of the regular homeless people who would always be by the bottle shop or dairy queen. So many people looked out for Uncle Mark, that in his memory, I have always tried to give as much to the homeless as I can, which to me isn't much, but to them can be the world.

One of the most incredible, overwhelming feelings in the world is taking a sweater that has been hangin in your closet for 4 years that you would never wear, and seeing the look of joy on a 7 year olds face at getting a new sweater. It changed my life forever.
