Let's be realistic guys, CONCACAF isn't exactly full of powerhouses. Right now, USA is the best in CONCACAF, but who is there competition? Trinidad & Tobago? Jamiaca? Canada?
There was a point maybe 2-3 years ago where Mexico was pretty strong, but they've kind of fallen off. Eriksson needs to go. But regardless, both will qualify for the WC b/c CONCACAF sucks balls

Like I said, Mexico WILL do better in the world cup in 2010 than the USA.
And I know soccer, I know the potential Mexico's team has and it surpasses the USA team by a lot. The problem is getting them to reach their potential, and Erricson isn't doing it.
I think it's funny when people like you who watch soccer on TV think they know the sport like an expert. Anyone who knows the game of soccer knows that Team USA is nothing special, they defend and counter very nicely and it's obviously worked on Mexico, but against teams like Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, England, etc., they won't do shit.

How do I know? I watch the soccer players from Mexico play throughout the whole year with their respective club teams, and I know they are capable of beating the shit out of Team USA.

Mexico is a team that needs to be in control of the ball with short passes, wall passes and triangular passes while sticking close to eachother and not running away from eachother. Not kicking the long ball, spreading the field and running like a motherfucker like Erricson's got them now.
It's a matter of styles of soccer, and Erricson is trying to get them to play a style they are not meant to play.

For some reason, they want to play like they do in Europe, with long passes and playing the ball through the air. But Mexicans are short as fuck and can't win balls in the air against the US, let alone some big ass German fucks.
Therefore, my point is that they need to play traditional Mexican style soccer, with lots of short passes and using wall passes to get inside the other team's area...
