Not all of it..but most of it...There was two sides of it...The war against the VC insurgents, and the Conventional NVA that would infiltrate the South through Cambodia and Laos. Most the battles against the NVA were longer drawn out more conventional battles..sometimes a local VC battalion would be mustered to be used as cannon fodder, lol.
But what i'm saying is the Communists didn't actually win the war through Guerrilla war...From 68 to 72 it was basically a stalemate. The 73 peace agreement ended fighting temporarily and US combat involvement and was supposed to end the war entirely. When fighting resumed it wasn't really a guerrilla war anymore..it was a conventional attack by the NVA supported by armor, aircraft, etc...and that's how the North/Communists achieved victory...
