Do firewalls slow speed up? im havin a slow connection and i have a feeling its the firewall. anyone that knows if it does cause it. holla back.

nahh firewall just protects you, it could be someone sharing your connection.. are you on a wireless connection or LAN?

its shared through like 2 other computers, the Other 2 computers arent running anything. no limewire, no hosts, just nothing. i been reading that firewalls slow speeds sometime

My connection tests @

DL: 700 ( should be about 1200)
UL: 115 ?? lol ( should be about 300)

if anyone knows or has any ideas. this is a standard DSL connection

shit i dont even know homie, can you help me with this.. it's kinda related to your question.

i use one of 3 laptops in my house, we all use a wireless connection, and i never use to have problems with it. but now it won't let me go on the internet or AOL messenger or anything. the other 2 computers still use it with no problems. the lil icon says im connected with good signal strength. i think it's the wireless card port cuz i used my wireless card in my brothers laptop and it works.. someone help a brotha out

only reason im on the internet now is cuz i'm on another comp..
