i heard (key word HEARD) quinn is going to be dropping his next solo on another label - kinda like he did with champeli...maybe it got a distribution deal?
at any rate, i dont think everyone realizes the difference between universal music and video distribution and universal records. UMVD is a smaller, distribution-based company while universal records is the huge corporation w/cash money, no limit, etc. i've noticed a few posts talking about people "signing" with universal and what not and i'm pretty sure alot of them are with UMVD which has been signing alot of local acts lately.

its not very hard to get a major lable deal,people put to much on it, just because you put out alot of albums dont mean you deserve a major deal, lets say you sell 25 thousand cds on your own you have to sell 20 times that for a major to be happy with you anything less is a flop,alot of artist dont need a major , look at mac dre do you think hes worried about majors? hell no ,when your on a major you have to pay everyone who is working you project,,say you sell 100thousand units and your budget was $500 thousand dollars you owe alot of money-if you stayed indy and sold 60thousand units you made 500thou

it hard for bay artist to sell a lot because artist and lables dont want to pay for top production and radio wont support-
lables need to spend more time developing artist say one artist and no more than two producers you gotta spend on production

No That is Not True! We did a deal that we are still negoitiating the perticulars but its not a Quinn solo Deal.. We are working om a Joint Venture Deal with Rider Records (J.R. Rider's Label) Thats our homeboy and it could be very beneficial for both parties! He has $$ We have all the pieces!!! But Quinn has been working hard!! He has been recording alot of songs This will be a very tight street album! Songs with CBO, Killa Tay, Fully Loaded, Willie Hen, Juvi, Keek da Sneek, Messy Marv and host of others.. He has never Done a album with alot of features so this is a first but more than half the album will be Just him!
