Only spent some time playing the demo, but I read a grip of reviews and they are complaining about the same stuff that I am. It's a damn arcade game. I played twice here a little bit ago and got suplexed like it was WWF 1988, and didn't get knocked out. Then, Jon Jones busts out a cartwheel kick for no damn reason. Graphics are clean tho (PS4).

Anyone got this game yet? I'm curious if it sucks just as bad on the full version. I'll probably wait to buy it when its $19.99 in 2 months. Undisputed 3 was sick. They should've stayed with THQ

I forgot about THQ dying. That explains it. The fact that Fight Night Champion wasn't that far off from being an incredible game and being put indefinitely on hold for this piece of crap sucks even more.
2K should really make a boxing game since EA is focusing on MMA and has a license agreement with UFC. Plus THQ is gone, 2K would be the first and only makerw of a next gen boxing game.

This game is lacking so much. It looks great, gameplay is extremely mediocre. What bothers me most is the little shit they leave out. Bruce Buffer sounds bored when hes announcing fighter names. The ref wont stop fights, its super glitchy. I expected a lot more from this game.

I ended up getting this game for $22 bucks. It's extremely flawed, but so were the fight night games at some point or another but the online was always way better than any of the other modes. I figured that was at least worth $22 but the game still kinda sucks. There needs to be more PS4 games out there!

edit: This game isn't realistic in virtually every area, and the stoppages are weak. But if you approach it as just being an arcade game and play against friends or online, it's pretty fun, I have to admit.

havent tried online yet. The graphics are amazing honestly but it just seems like that is all they worked on. then just copied the EA mma button controls and added a few minor tweaks. I hope a patch comes out to fix up some of this weakness. I heard a new download should drop soon with a few more fighters

Yeah, that's what I heard too, supposedly it's going to be free. They had a couple updates to Fight Night Champion, specifically to the online that changed a few major things but people got pissed off when they did that. The suplexes thing is just ridiculous though. They shouldn't even have that in there. And Roy Nelson doing flying knees left and right is stupid too. I suplexed a dude that was using Nelson like 8 times in a 3 round fight.

I've been playing career mode on this. Just won the belt @ MW. My opinion of this game has improved over time. It's still not a great game by any means and the controls are a little tricky with the more technical stuff like grappling and submissions but it's quite a bit better than my first impression of it. I'd honestly say it's worth checking out, but you have to give it some time and not give up on it in the first few days.
