Alright folx, UFC 47 is around the corner and its goin down! This is what seems to be a grudge match between former friends, a lot of shit has been flying between these two in the past year or so.

Chuck has the KO power strikes but has disappointed in his past few fights, and is said to be working on countering Tito's ground assault, His takedown defense is good as well.

Tito claims to be aiming to surprise everyone by KOing Liddell while standing, but if that fails, his ground game is top-notch and IMO he WILL be stopping Liddell with the ground & pound much like Couture did.

Arlovski Vs Sylvia, 2 strikers, this is a toss up to me really, its gonna end in a KO for sure. I dont like Arlovski, I wanna take Sylvia on this, the guys huge and his punches are fierce. Arlovski on the other hand is a fluid striker and just might be landing punches before Sylvia gets a chance to deliver one of his big ones.

Heres the fight card for the night:

Fight Card
Light Heavyweight #1 contender match
Tito Ortiz vs Chuck Liddell

Tim Sylvia vs Andrei Arlovski

Lightweight Bout
Mike Brown vs Genki Sudo

A solid overall lineup from UFC, should be a good event. Liddell vs Ortiz should be a good grudge match, I see tito winning from ref stoppage in the 3rd round(but I want Chuck to KO his cocky ass). Sylvia will probably knock out Arlovski in the 2nd round, should be another entertaining fight. Cabbage is always fun to watch, and I though I have never seen him fight, I hear Kyle likes to stand up and slug it out also. Cabbage probably takes this one with KO in the first round. Edwards vs Franca is a solid fight, two of the top lw in the UFC. I see Franca taking it in a decision.

Also for all you MMA fans make sure to check out the next pride gp on april 25th. Not sure who's going to be in it yet or even if its a heavy weight or open weight tourny, but its going to be 16 man.

I hope they show Genki Sudo on the telecast, i think he's tight. Cabbage is a warrior too, that guy can really dish it out on the toes!

Has Pride not released the GP card yet? I heard it was gonna be an open weight grand prix
*prays for cro-cop vs silva 2*

The Genki Sudo fight is going to be on the undercard.

Still not sure what the weight class is for the pride gp, but here are the 8 offically confirmed fighters so far:
Fedor Emelianenko
Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira
Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic
"The Texas Crazy Horse” Heath Herring
“Ice Cold” Igor Vovchanchyn
Stefan “Blitz” Leko
Sylvester “The Predator” Terkay
Sentoryu

On March 31st they will announce the rest of the fighters and the match ups for the first round. Don't expect to see silva vs crocop, as chutebox is rumored to be sending Ninja to represent them.

This is an incredible card that the UFC has needed for a while.

Ortiz is gonna wreck Liddell.

But shyt...its UFC.
Everytime I think there is a bomb card line up..the whole night turns to shyt.

Speakin on Mirco, who saw his fight with Sylva besides Rawlyrixx?
Who did ya'll think won? I know the fight was declared a draw (I guess for the lack of submissions) but I thought Sylva won. He landed the most blows, so I would give him a very close lead judging it as a
K-1 fight.
It was a great fight though, both guys kickin the shit out of each other. One of the best fights I ever seen in MMA history....

Im looking forward for another ufc. True the Ortiz vs Liddell fight shouldve happened years ago and they both are having a hard time winning these days that this fight is crucial for the both of them. Rawlyrixx said it best. I feel that Tito is playing lots of mind games saying hes gonna stand up with Chuck, but like most loads of crap talk its not gonna happen, im expecting both of them to play defense and clinch each other cause none of them wants to be on the receiving end of being grounded n pounded. One thing that i have heard is that Chuck has been training close with a Gracie on groundwork and was quoted Chuck is a fast learner.
This fightcard does look good and i cant wait to see them "GET IT ON!"
On a side note i caught that pride bushido 2 late last night, heavily entoxicated and it sucks that these bouts were heald months earlier and dont touch ground on US Soil on live telecast. Wanderlei Silva knocked Ikuhisa Minowa within a few minutes. Mauricio Rua faught and won against Akihiro Gomo which was probably the best fight of the night. Gomo took an ass beatin with Rua muy tai fighting skills and jadson costa got his ass grounded n pounded by takanori goma.

this ufc is reported the biggest one ever beating out the show when Ortiz beat down Shamrock. For those that don't keep updated on this like I do, Tim Sylvia submitted his piss test and it's possibe that he may not fight tomorrow.

Its offical that Tim didn't pass the piss test and will not fight. Instead they are going to have Cabbage vs Andre Arlovski in a non title match, and Wes Sims will now fight Mike Kyle. Not sure how this will all play out for Tim, but I am sure UFC is not happy having to pull such a big fight so late.
