This friday UFC 44 will have the long awaited return of Tito Ortiz to defend his championship against Randy Couture (the old man who kicked Chuck Lidells ass). As well as a Heavyweight Championship up for grabs, Champion Tim Sylvia will be defending against Gan Mcgee. Check www.UFC.tv for the whole card.

Don't sleep on this shit, Tito's bout to change up his game plan with some serious stand up (apparently he's been hanging around Fernando Vargas) and other people who are going to help improve his toe-to-toe skills to add to his patented ground n pound.

I say Tito by 3 round via ref stoppage

Fuck boxing! And double fuck'em for robbing Fres Oquendo this weekend....

MMA is the shit and this is the best fight in a long ass time as far as mixed martial arts is concerened.
I'm with you, I think Tito will win by TKO.
Couture is good but he lost to Tito's student, Ricco Rodriguez.
Now it's time for the teacher to retire Couture....
This is Tito's toughest challenge though, for the first time he's probably fighting someone who can equal his strength.
Tito's never been on his back, let's see if Couture will be the first to take him down....
Can't fuckin wait to see this shit!

Agreed on these points. Tito's actually been on his back in the ADCC before (and the crazy muthafucka has managed to tap people out from there!). I'm tryin to tell these haters on some sites, Tito is one hybrid wrecking machine who always rises to the occasion. He was on Jay Leno a few nights ago, hopefully this UFC will get more PPV buys and will help promote MMA here in the states.

This will be a good fight, but IMO cardio will play a big factor and Tito's has youth advantage over Couture. Randy can drop serious bombs (as seen vs Lidell), so we'll see how Tito adapts. Damn im SYKED for this shit.

Im gettin ahead of myself but what do you think about the next grand prix... Rampage vs Lidell? I want Rampage and think he'll win but in the event that he loses, i'd love to see Vanderlei tear his ass apart, cuz we know he wont lose to Yoshida before then so he's as good as in the finals already. Vanderlei has that persistance that Chuck is so vulnerable to.

Fedor vs Crocop is another thing... you couldn't ask for a crazier match, Crocop is dangerous as fuck but i don't think he will be able to get a chance to size up Fedor for the big kick to the dome without catchin a flurry of Fedors huge punches.

I'm picking Vanderlei to win the Grand Prix tournament.
But I think Yoshida will put up a better fight then most expect him to. He's a very strong submission expert who has excellent take down skills.

As for Liddel VS Jackson. Man this one's a toss up, I predict Liddel will come from behind to stop Jackson. Liddel's got experience and will probably weather Quinton's storm. Quinton's openned for Liddel's straight right hand as the Bustamante fight showed.
But who knows, Quinton is very strong and it won't surprise me if he pounds Liddel into submission....

Fedor VS Corcop?
If Fedor doesn't take him to the ground then I think Mirco will knock him out on his feet. No one's been able to put Mirco on his back but Fedor can be the first.
So lets see what happens
My pick? Mirco Corcop by KO....
