I think a lot of people who don't like this new bay sound are the squares that ain't out at the clubs gettin down to this music. This ain't the kinda shit you sit on your computer and listen to (altho you can), this is the kinda shit you get stupid and dance to, and in my opinion this shit is makin the bay alive again, cuz I wasn't really feelin the bay for a long while until they finally changed it up to what their doing today, and I think this movement is goin to pay off within the next few years....
Sounds like you just hopped on to the bandwagon man. The only "new bay" shit I really feel is from The Team. All of the old classic bay shit is what I bump in the car or mp3 player, shit like Dubee with those old Kayhree beats you know. I gotta give it up to B-Legit for doing some nationwide networking and messing with that Southern style. Shit came out clean.
That's coo and everything that some of the past bay rappers are acceptin it and going for it but I'm listening to the music with my ears not there's so if I ain't feelin the music then I don't shell out the cash for it. I hope every bay rapper prospers but I can't find it feasible to buy an album just because I want the bay to blow up. As far as going to the clubs...been there done that bro and when I slump my shit it's in the car or at the house. I'm too old to "get stupid and dance."

Well alot of the latest rap singles have evolved into mainstream club knockers. This may be a trend that wil be here for awhile until people actually support local artists like back then. Who else besides us here support local artists? Most of the people are brainwashed and buy whatever is popular on the radio (mostly crunk songs these days, it used to be 50 cent for awhile). Sure we all love the bay classics but I have personally seen my friends basically cut off trying to hear bay ish (they used to knock and listen to bay rap all the time) from that "stale" period 98ish-03/04 until Bay music started getting popular on the radio again. Music is constantly evolving so whatever is popular at the time is what is going to be made. And what is hot right now is that hyphy ish.

ok yeah ive had this discussion wit alot of my folks , too many of da fam been mad cause they like "man fuck all these fakes that just got on bay music, i don't even wanna listen to this new bay shit its too mainstream. . .
