Hedo Turkoglu didn't get the call for a mid-season honor when the Eastern Conference All-Star roster was announced this season. But the Orlando Magic forward did get the nod at the end of the year after he posted career highs in three separate offensive categories. On Monday, Turkoglu will be named as the NBA's most improved player, according to a report in the Orlando Sentinel. Turkoglu's 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists were all career highs. He helped lead the Magic to a 52-30 record and the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Turkoglu is the fourth Magic player to earn the award following in the footsteps of Scott Skiles (1990-91), Darrell Armstrong (1998-99) and Tracy McGrady (2000-01).
