I know enough to file my own taxes.. the Turbo Tax program is super dope.. you should download it and try it out.... it will give you insight and unless you have a house, small business or a bunch of investments you will be fine.
I mean.. this year if you donated to Katrina theres a special section.. as well as your other charities.. childcare, student loan interest, etc.. and if you have clothing you purchased for work, etc.. check it out..
I have a question since you guys seem to know a lot about this shit. My boss payed me on commision and regular pay but I made more on comission so he sent me a W-2 and since the commision checks were out of pocket he also sent me a 1099-misc. When I used turbo tax it told me I owed like $4,000 this is crazy i made $17,000 dollars on the 1099-misc and I am a dependent and a student why is the tax so high. On my regular pay I only payed like a 10% tax and I was going to get half of it back. Please help this sucks.
I might be wrong.. but the reason that is.. is because you didnt pay any taxes on the comission you made.. are you single with no kids..? $4000 doesnt seem right tho'..
I'm gonna re-do mine because I just got a Student Loan Interest Statement in the mail today.. I dont know how much of a difference its gonna make but every lil bit matters I guess-- unless it tells me I gotta pay more... damn..

...homie...i have a mac...for rars i use UnRarX...dope program, go get it from versiontracker.com or just google it...
...btw, I downloaded this shit and when i opened the rar, was disappointed to find out it was a Windows only file (.exe)...then I was displeased to notice that Norton had picked up a virus from within it...no biggie, it was quarantined and I trashed...good luck with that...
