lmao I read Padres are looking to trade Adrian Gonzalez, Heath Bell and lower payroll. Back in rebuilding mode for them.

Adrian's agent told the Padres GM that he wants a "franchise contract" after the 2011 season. Padres are financially unable to compete with the Yankees, Mets, etc. So anybody with half a brain would realize trading him now and getting some valuable prospects in return, would be the smart thing to do, as opposed to letting him walk next year and get nothing for him.

They have been "rebuilding" even before this season. Let's face it, they were overachievers last year. I know people love to hate the Padres, but they went 12-6 against the team who won the World Series and had a great season. Give them some props for Christ's sake instead of constantly bashing them. The Giants are champs, show a little bit of class every once in a while.

Looks to me like the Giants OWNED the Padres when it counted..... And yes you guys played well above what you should have all things considered. So for competing, you guys get major props!

I wouldn't say the Giants "owned" the Padres those last few games, wasn't the series like 2-1? That's definitely not "owning". Congrats, the Giants barely squeeked out winning the division against a team with the second lowest payroll in the league. Shouldn't have even been that close. They really caught fire in the playoffs and were playing amazing. That's when it counted. Either way, like I said, it's ok to show a little bit of class every once in a while. Maybe some people just don't have it in them. And that isn't necessarily directed towards you or the rest of the Giants fans. I saw, and propped several people on here who were ecstatic to see their team win and show some class at the same time. Oh well, season is over. On to the next thing.
