Well, I am dissappointed with this release. I am as big a Lynch fan as there is but I don't see how yall can like it so much. 2 dope ass tracks, a bunch of average ones and a handfull of absolute rubbish. I'm just tellin' it like I hear it. I'm hoping this is their "rotor rooter" album. Ya know, cleaning out the pipes so everything from now on is on some next level. But this is just one man's opinion. Go out and decide for yourself. However, IMO, Siccmade needs to step it up with the production quick, fast and in a hurry. Enough of these simple, monotonous beats please. I don't care how dope the spits are, if the beat is weak, I don't even want to hear what you have to say.

With all that said, this album is NOT wack. It just isn't any better than anything else out there, lost in the crowd. I expect Lynch to be ahead of the curve, not running shoulder to shoulder. When albums like "SOTS" and "Loaded" came out, they shit on everything out at the time. Now I know what your thinking (he's a different man, he's grown up, you can't expect......blah, blah, blah), but when an artist drops classic material such as those albums, he will forever have to live up to those expectations. It's a bit of a curse, so to speak. Great artists are able to do it but most are never able to reach that staus again. I don't expect Lynch to make a better album than "SOTS" or "Loaded". I mean, I consider "Loaded" to be the best produced rap album EVER. But I do expect him to be able to come close to that type of quality album. And since I know he has it in him, I will continue to put my money down on Siccmade releases. Chew on that for a second.
damn i gotta hand it 2 ya, very well put, thats what i meant in my 2 post u just expressed on it...good shit

aye homie, i definitely feel wut ur sayin. i think this album is good. i think if anybody else dropped this album it would be considered a great album. but like you touched up on, everybody's expectin a lot more from lynch. BUT with that said, i think if you take tha album for wut it is, its a good album. we're jus used to a certain "sound" comin from tha siccmade camp, and when they change up, even if it is good, then there's gonna be criticism. i admit, tha production could be better, but it's not garbage. if anybody else had these beats on they shit, shit would be tight. its jus we kno lynch can do so much better (production wise) and we expect so much more from him. its like on tha loaded album he took time into those beats, u could hear all kindsa shit in tha beats, these beats are kinda simple, jus looped over and over again, no "decoratin" on em.

tha more and more i listen to tha c.d., tha more and more i "adapt" to it and like it (jus like lynch by inch). i think in a couple weeks this shit would be sicc. i think its tight now, but i feel it will grow on me. me personally think lynch should clean house on most uv his rappers. i think they're okay, but not great. when lynch dropped loaded, he had rappers featured like p-folks and first degree. each one that can drop an album and shit would be tight, cuz each one had a distinctive flow, delivery, and they were jus tight. tha rappers he has featured now could drop an album and i would be hesitant to cop tha album. im not namin names cuz then i'll be labled a hater, but those uv yall that are readin this that feel me kno who i'm talkin bout, (no i'm not talkin bout cos or loki). after all this, i'll still buy a lynch album tha day it drops- WITHOUT LISTENIN TO IT FIRST, cuz all in all, lynch still hasnt disappointed me. i think tha best is yet to come. i'm lookin forward to that dinner and a movie. fold.

It was recorded in 2001 thats why it sounds different!! not the best but im feelin it
Yeah--for some reason, I THOUGHT those songs sounded older. After I saw your quote, I checked one of my older MURDER DOG issues (volume 9, #3) which came out around early fall 2002. In that issue, there's a Lynch interview where he talks about Siccmade releases.

His original plan, as expressed in this '02 interview, was for LBI to come out on "Halloween 2002" (which of course didn't happen). When the interviewer asks about what other projects Lynch had coming out besides LBI (and E-Moe's GHETTO GOSPEL, Cos' SICCMADE RITUALS and UTHANIZM), Lynch says: "I wanted everyone to know about me and Cos' album TRIGGANOMETRY...that'll be out BEFORE my album [presumably, LBI] so I gotta start pumping that up..." (pg. 115) He then says that he was hoping for TRIGG to be out in August 2002 (which also didn't happen). Earlier in the interview, he mentioned that he and the other Siccmade rappers had started on UTHANIZM in 2000 (!) and that it was "just now completed" (which would presumably mean summer 2002, since this MURDER DOG issue, again, came out in early fall 2002)! So the material on TRIGG (and for that matter, UTHANIZM) may sound "dated" for some, IF they were recorded that far back (kind of like what happened w/ B-Legit on HEMPIN' AIN'T EASY. He said that much of that was recorded in late '97/early '98, but it didn't come out until late 2000, after B-La left Jive).

So yeah, it could be that when Lynch and Cos finally got the release date for TRIGG straight, they knew that the material was now two or three years old, thus the "we went back in those old stacks" comment in the CD booklet. Just a guess on my part, though. Anyway, as far as what I think of TRIGG, my opinion is basically the same as what T-Spoon said in his post.

PEACE!

hmm i think they re did it cuz i heard a nasty rumour that alot of the songs for that album were robbed in a home invasion and used on the virus.......
Well, your guess is as good as mine...I was just attempting to put two-and-two together based on that Lynch interview from 2002. Guess the only ones who know for sure are Lynch, Cos and anyone else who's in with their click...

PEACE!

I heard the whole album and i didnt care for it at all. shit was boring and not worth the wait.. and i some what liked Lynch by Inch, and I liked COS's album a whole lot more then this. The beats were average and boring. As long as Siccmade takes to release shit, it really isnt worth it to get a boring album like this. U think for as long as it took, they would have some really tight verses and well thought out beats.. but they sounded like they recorded this album yesterday. I didnt hear Lynch spit any heat. COS's verses were alright, ive heard him come tighter. Seems like every release Siccmade release just gets worse and worse. IMO.. I hope Lynch's next album/project is better then this. He's just not cuttin it anymore. :ermm: 2/10
