so when it comes to ed reed we have to know assign,ents..but for champ its nt an issue, I didn't know that was the case..........even though I said the same thing earlier in this thread!
thascary 1 what's wrong with you? Ed Reed is a safety which means he could have been assigned to play in the box on that play. Champ is a cornerback... he's responsible for covering receivers. Come on now... use your head man.
you really really really may want to go to look at that video again!
I watched it again this morning on the chance that I was wrong, but sure enough #20 ed reed biting underneather trying to go after ball...misses by a mile and player runs past him and the other player you mentioned who was primary coverage as well.
If reed would have played player and not ball he could have lit the guy up for a short gain or possibly a no gain as the wr could have had the ball knocked loose.
^ Still, safeties aren't typically assigned to cover WR's and CB's are. Playing safety is completely different than playing CB, so the comparison is completely irrelevent.
champ bailey still the shit to me has fell off a little looks a lil more vunerable but dre bly is fuckin horible ive seen him get beat every time i watch him in obvious pass situations where he is man to man.. and the overtime game when he got beat deep twice wow that was awful.. n i know corner is one of the hardest positions on defense so its understandable to get beat but for people to argue he bein a top corner helllll no
Imma Chiefs fan and would trade our Geritol corners for any of the ones ya'll talkin bout. Champ is the best now. Rod Woodson is the best ever and Deion is second. Both these corners in their prime could hold damn near any one 2 day even with the current rules geared for the offense. That's why these QB's are breaking records now. There aint no more TRUE "Bump n Run". And the NFL needed an offense boost hence the reason the rules were changed.
