No problem! I need to update though!
Need to put some info on Ho Chi Min city, meanwhile I've spend over a week in Hong Kong. This city is crazy! I like it here
Today was China day, although I couldn't find anyone to tell me what this means exactly..

The link is waariswouter.blogpsot.com
I still need to translate to English when I get home (will be back home on wednesday) until then the google translator will have to do.
Even though the pieces I write are boring and not very well written though lol

can you elaborate if you get some time? How is it different from the rest of China or where you live?
Difficult to explain if you don't know China, but let me try.

Xiamen is an island, even though some parts on the mainland also belong to the city of Xiamen. It is for China very developed and supposed to be the cleanest city.
People from many countries traveled to Xiamen for centuries, so that there was and still is an influence from Portugal/Holland/England/Germany, etc.! Even though there are 4 million people living here, it still has the charm of a small town. You can sit outside in a bar, cafe, restaurant at the beach, at a lake, etc., something you cannot find in many other places in China.
The people here are more laid back and imo also friendlier. There is a saying in China "Shanghai is for business, and Xiamen is for living".
Compared to other cities is Xiamen also quite green, and the government is making sure, that there are many parks etc.! At the same time Xiamen is becoming a major sea cruise port.
Xiamen is now the No.2 tourist destination for Chinese people after Hong Kong, which I have to admit can be a bit annoying. Especially during national holidays.

If any of you ever want to visit...let me know.
