if he can do what he did his rookie year, then he will still be a bust.

in his rookie year, he had about 500 yards rushing which ain't shit, and 700 yards receiving, which is pretty good for a halfback.

his sophomore year, he is shy of 600 yards rushing, and has about 400 yards receiving. plus, he has more fumbles(7) than he did touchdowns (6). i know he was injured and missed 4 games, but still...

he had a lot of plays at southern cal in which he broke for more than 20 yards...and his longest rush was 22 yards. so far his longest play was a 74-yard run, which was probably against the cowboys.

all that hype outta usc, and he hasn't solidified his #2 draft pick status.

no one said reggie bush was going to run......he was drafted as a special weapon slot WR.....atleast thats what all the "pro scouts" were saying.....i knew reggie bush wasnt going to be a elite RUNNING back.....but he can catch a ball out of the backfield and be a threat to get a TD every time he touches the ball......

He has only racked up 14 TD's in 2 years rushing and recieving combined.

i gurantee barring major injury that lendale will have a better year this season then last....if he rushes for over a thousand yards again there is no way you can label him a "bust"......
Yes, i can.

Once again, it has NOTHING to do with how MANY yards a player gets, but on how many CARRIES they get them.

Why is this concept so hard to understand?

He can rush for over 1,000 yards but what happens if he averages under 4 yards per carry like he did last year? Probably any running back in the NFL can get 1,000 yards if he gets a certain amount of carries. Lendale White is not a feared running back in the NFL. Teams don't game plan to stop him like L.T. or Adrian Peterson because he's not a threat to take it to the house. What's his longest run in the NFL so far?

just because its your concept doenst mean shit.....

if a player rushed for 1200 yards with a 3.7 ypc average and got 20 tds he could possibly the best RB in the leauge that year

ypc isnt the only thing to judge a rb on..........what is that so hard to understand?

LOL @ my concept...as if I made that stat up out of thin air. Ask any who has even an OUNCE of football knowledge, and they will tell you how important YPC is.

Wait a minute...now youre changing the argument altogether. All you said was "what if he rushes for 1000 yards again". When in the fuckin bloody blue hell did you mention TD's?

YPC is one of the most IMPORTANT stats for a RB and TOTAL YARDS is one of the most INFLATED. Just like in baseball, a players AVG is ALWAYS bloated...OBP, OPS, and SLG are the better stats too look at. Just becuase a player hit .350 does NOT mean he is necassarily a GOOD hitter.

i didnt change the arguement.....im just letting you know.......that if a back rushed for that YPC and got that many tds he would still be considered one of the better backs of the leauge at least that year...all stats in sports are "inflated"....because it doesnt show how you perform in the clutch or when the team needs your or what ever......which is the REAL IMPORTANT THING...if we judge ALL PLAYERs by there STATS alone.....some of the GREATS would be considered BUST in your eyes...accept it or not...lendale white was the only WEAPON the titans had on offense this year...we got to the playoffs by him RUNNING the ball....and playing good d doesnt hurt.....

ypc is important....but just because you rush for 3.7 doenst label you a bust out of the gate......eddie george rushed for similar....he was a first round pick.....hugeeeeeeeee fuckin bust right?

No he didn't just call Lendale White a "weapon"....

What's so hard about running the ball to the whole that your linemen are opening up? That's all Lendale did. He's not that good bro...

"White's draft stock tumbled before and during the draft, mostly because he had not had a full workout before NFL scouts. During USC's workout day, he cited hamstring worries as a reason for not running or performing any workouts aside from the bench press, where he managed only 15 repetitions at 225 pounds.

However, there were concerns that White had not done everything he could to prepare himself for the NFL Combine. Reportedly, there were audible groans when he bared his chest at a weigh-in.

As one NFL general manager said after seeing White at the combine: “The guy needed a bra, it was ridiculous. You come to the combine looking like that and you want to be a first-round pick? Come on. The guy had obviously been doing nothing.”

And he's winning games huh...
