We should have a vital thread with nuthin' but tips and shit, even if they are not new to us, it may be new to other people.

I'll start with one. This is a good technique for snare drums. Take a reverb with a medium to large size room, give a longer release. Then slap a Gate on there with a fast attack, depending on the snare you can set it to trigger at lower frequencies. I ain't listin' the settings I used, it's all really a matter of personal preference
It produces a large, fat sounding snare, big and crisp.

Feel free to add to the thread, but let's just keep it to tips, tricks, and techniques, nuthin' else!

i heard an equation when applying delay on tracks
60,000 divided by the bpm of the song divided by the type of notes(16th,8th,4th) that appear most frequent.

for example.....a track at 90bpm composed of mainly 16th notes would be about 42ms.

60,000 divided by 90 divided by 16= 41.6ms
