Fucked up shit, Man eats cats Brains
I know this fool and never thought he would dop some shit like this
A 19-year-old West Marin man has been charged with animal cruelty after telling police he beheaded the family cat and ate part of its brains, authorities said yesterday.
The District Attorney's Office issued a $50,000 arrest warrant yesterday for Shane Cory Goelet, an Inverness resident. Goelet was being held at the Mount Diablo Medical Center psychiatric unit in Walnut Creek and will be arrested upon his release, investigators said.
Police were called to Goelet's home on Drake's View Drive late Tuesday night after a relative reported he was having a "psychotic episode," according to an affidavit filed by Deputy District Attorney Linda Witong. Family members told investigators Goelet has a history of bipolar disorder.
Sheriff's deputies arrived and found Goelet calmly sitting in his room. He had blood on his clothing.
"At that time he told us he had killed and decapitated the family cat," said sheriff's Lt. Scott Anderson.
Goelet also told police he had eaten "part of the brains and muscles" of the cat, according to the arrest warrant affidavit.
"(Police) also indicated that the defendant gave no reasons for his behavior other than, 'I just did it,'" Witong wrote.
Police found the headless cat in a bathtub. They took Goelet to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Rafael and placed him on a psychiatric hold.
Goelet was later transferred to Mount Diablo, and it was unclear when he might be released. Hospital officials, citing federal rules on patient confidentiality, would not give police any updates on Goelet's progress unless they had an arrest warrant signed, according to the affidavit.
Prosecutors filed one felony count of animal cruelty against Goelet, a charge that can mean prison time or up to $20,000 in fines, according to the state penal code.
