ppl put in months and years to get a certain set of items, then they release a new patch or expansion and theres shit thats twice as good to equip and makes all your hard work useless. for instance when world of warcraft raised the level cap from 60 to 70 i heard that ppl could just pick up shitty trash items off of regular monsters you took 10 seconds to kill that were better than their 'epic items' they spent months obtaining
