That's fucking cold.

What I don't get is that the kid was kidnapped in 1982 at the age of 12. Then it said that he contacted his mom in 1997...so he would have been 27 then. So do they still have him held hostage somewhere or is he so brainwashed he wants to stay with them. I know it said "but feared for his life and declined to give details about where he was." But a grown man (he would be 36 now) should be able to get away some how at some point unless they got him locked in a room or something.

Anyways...weird story.
