I'm thinkin about getting a macbook. My cousin just got a new one and I fooled around with it for a bit, its pretty sick.

What are your opinions on macs? I've been a pc user all these years, but I've always heard good things about macs, like good media capabilities and no viruses, etc. I especially wanna hear the thoughts of people who switched from pc's to macs.

MACS ARE COOL I USED TO HAVE A G5 BUT THERE NOT TOO COMPATIBLE ONLINE. YOU CANT DO ALOT OF SHIT ONLINE CAUSE THEY DONT CATER TO MAC TO OFTEN.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS LOW MAINTENANCE AND EASY TO USE.

i use a mac all day long......all i gotta say is that if u do get one, make sure u get ur Applecare, which is your extended coverage, and u r only allowed to purchase it within the first year from date of purchase, so dont think that u wont need it...u Will need it, it gives 3 yrs tech support, 3 yrs hardware and 3 yrs s&h......i love my mac

You don't have to worry about viruses, popups, and all the other bullshit that comes along w/ PC's...

I have a PC and a Mac though, and the Mac is just all around more user friendly.

That Macbook is a hell of a deal, but you might wanna spend the extra cheese to get a black one, because the white plastic that Apple uses gets dirty and stays dirty very easily.

@Stomps - What is it you were trying to do online, because I've never had too many problems. There are a couple of video sites that gave me problems, but nothing big like Youtube or GoogleVideo. What kind of stuff are you talking about?

yeah i heard black is the way to go as well. plus for all us windows geeks, u can install windows on there as well.

MOSTLY WHAT YOU TALKING ABOUT. BUT THIS WAS BEFORE YOUTUBE AND THAT SHIT. BY NOW THOSE PROBLEMS ARE FIXED.JUST RANDOM SHIT BUT NOTHING I COULDNT LIVE WITH.

I got a macbook pro. its great, the only flaw is the software is still catching up to the hardware. I've been a mac user for over 15 years & don't think I'll ever convert. like maculent says, pc's are good for gaming, macs are good at everything else.....

the only real video issues I had were with avi's & wmv's, but nothing a converter couldn't fix

yeah my folks got tha macbook pro.it seems hella tight for maken music thats why ima get 1.im usen a dell right now but ima fuck wit tha mac fo sho

i just got my ibook last year, i still use my old desktop PC, but the next time i buy another computer, it will definitely be a MAC, its just a lot more Simple and basic to use, more straight to the point than a PC, and its only frozen about 1 time. Plus there a lot better for creative programs. But if u wanna play games, get a PC.

If you have the money a mac is worth it because you can install windows on them now so for the gaming you can run windows and still have all of the positive parts of the mac. If I had the money would buy a mac but I decided to build my own PC and it was a lot cheaper.

Macs are better than PCs...I been using PCs for years and got my first Mac in 2003 and liked the system way better. Macs are simple and dont give you problems....as the commercial says the Mac gets out of your way so you can do your work...no errors, bullshit or extra trash to deal with. Only think I dont like was 1 button mouse, I cant get used to it cause I use photoshop and other programs that use right click alot but I plan on getting a 2 button soon...

^ I use a regular Microsoft mouse with my Mac and I get all of the right click functions that I do on my PC...

You really don't have to buy the Mac 2 button...it does pretty much the same thing...

MACs are the shit had my G5 for a few years now. Media Programs are notch nad it runs with no problems. but like someone said get the Apple Care my harddrive died and they had to fix it.
