Been working like a motherfucker and figured I'd take a few days off to spend time with my girl and my son in like 2 weeks. Anyhow he wants to go to the SF zoo, and I'm cool with doing stuff in SF but not for that long because I want to get out of the city. I just want to go on a long drive figured I'd discover what is North of the bay since I never go past. Anyhow for those that frequent north of the bay or live there, are there any cool places to relax or visit? Parks, beaches (to walk and photograph, its too cold obviously to be swimming and shit lol). Any cool towns to see?

theres this kamp krusty type of camp ground in petaluma. its basically you rent out a cabin thats already furnished available in 1 bed or 2. i think they even got cabins with 3. outside of the cabin you have your own section where you can set up tents, and a grill if you want to bbq. they got a arcade at the site, swimming pool, basketball court and hella kid activities. if youre interested, let me know, ill get you name of the place.

or if u want to go further north, armstrong woods is a good place to take pics

Yeah dont take your family to gville looking for anything wholesome if its not the summer time. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will be lazy bear weekend.... Armstrong is the shit though.. That town is full of queers and scumbags for the most part but a lot of my folks stay out on the russian river I grew up out there (not guerneville)

i'd say just go for a drive and find something new. I don't find tourist attractions fulfilling for some reason. Bodega has some cool stuff though, if you go there check out pinnacle gulch. Interesting scenery there. There's a marine lab in bodega too, it sucks though honestly, unless you get a backstage pass and check out the reserve somehow.

Driving along 101/1 is the best bet though, it's long, windy, and fun.

casino 101, bodega bay, russian river, trim weed, muir woods, jack london park, wine tasting of course, lake berryessa, surprisingly a fair amount of live music in santa rosa, get drunk around the sonoma downtown square (you can drink openly in the parks legally till nightfall), get drunk with sonoma state fucks in cotati, salmon creek, people watch in willits or guerneville lol, get a bed and breakfast, smoke meth and eat at taco trucks.

Taking long drives with no destination was the shit back in the day....I worked at a car lot and had random days off during the week that most people didnt have.....I would go get a couple bags of chronic, fill the tank up, go to rasputins cop a CD to ride 2 and get goin......Im from fairfield so driving up highway 1 along the water was always great (ive fallen asleep on a bench near the beach)LOL.....I would be all over the bay, finding different shit to eat, geting out and walking in different cities downtown area's hella loaded.....I miss those days.....Go out towards calistoga there's some nice scenerey (sp) out there especially since its been raining its probably all green out that way.......They have a place that was on Dinners, Drive ins and dives thats slap.........Ah those were the days...
