Was the wake-up show a fair representation for Bay Area hip hop? I aint gonna lie, everytime I listened all I heard was that nigga and his fake new yawk accent biggin up some obscure east coast niggaz.

honestly I haven't listened to the wake up show in fucking ages

when it first started it was all bay area - definitely represented the underground. As they got bigger and bought by clear channel (i think thats who bought them), it slowly moved to all commercial and faded out to a more national show. I recorded some pretty good freestyles from when the show was underground.

wake up show to me is the best outlet we got and they usually have non stop good music
