Its an issue of numbers.
Surenos probably realistically outnumber Nortenos at 10 to 1 at the least, and it could even be 100 to 1. You gotta realize that Latinos who come from either A. Mexico / Latin America or B. So Cal are going to vastly outnumber Nortenos who are made up of Latinos and some people of other races born in N. California.

well i dont know where nortenos come from personally, maybe my ignorance made me think hey, theyre all coming from the same place regardless so whats the outnumbering about..
i guess i can understand that though, 700 miles north you need more of a reason to make it to the bay in comparison to settling in LA if you immigrated from the border line.
let alone LA and san diego bieng in the top five in US for population, latinos only next to whites if that.
