I agree. As a fan of good music, I prefer to hear an artist (or group) work with one producer (or team) because the final product usually sounds more fluid as opposed to a bunch of random tracks thrown together.

yeah good point I'd definetely say that's one of the reasons. Another could be lots of these artists are using young producers that are trying to imitate mainstream club beats with crappy synth sounds and like a million snare hits and tom drums. Ain't giving the music any room to breathe and lacks any substance. just cause you can doesn't mean you should.

Exactly! I've grown so tired of that sound you are describing, it's almost an immediate turn off to even listen to the full track.
