Keak Da Sneak doesn't own Moe Doe, he is just their main artist (for now)...I hope they live up to the luv that the PD is handing them. I like the Team, I think they have some really radio friendly music...I just hope that what happend to The Federation with KMEL wearing their songs into the ground doesn't happen to these guys. Think about how much better (for the Bay Area) The Federation album would have been had the Bay not heard Hyphee 40-70 times a week, Go Dumb, Favorite Drug, Hyphee Remix and Hoes In Here every other song in every mix...It was too much of a good thing. Those songs were all skippable because they were played out by the time the album hit the stores. The good thing is that The Team has solid music and Big Von (PD @ KMEL) seems to really be feeilng them. I hope the best for them...they are just adding to the new flavor of the Bay Area and adding to a monumental month for new artist releasing music in the Bay (Turf Talk, Federation, The Frontline & The Team) and if you are going by # these new artist are more then holding their own in respect to sound scan #'s.
Big Von, Scottie Fox this crop of Bay artist have a huge up-side to them if balanced out and pushed correctly the Bay could not only be a hot spot for rap for years to come, but the' hot spot in hip-hop period.
