The South is on top now simply because the music coming from there is better

What dominates hip-hop has always been determined by the party and club type of tracks, and the East just doesn't have them anymore

what should really make all the critics in NYC shut the fuck up is the fact that they not only do they lack party tracks and hit records but their street tracks also suck for the most part, while the South is on top there too

But according to his prison segment on My Block: Houston; he reacted to that big break into the mainstream with some disappointment about that big hit being labeled a "pop single" & he looked like he regretted doing that shit with Jay...

YOU MUST NOT REMEMBER THE PART WHERE JAY ASKED THEM TO BE ON THE SONG, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. AFTER MUCH CONTEMPLATATING, THEY DECIDED TO DO IT.

BY THE WAY, THE SONG WAS SO UNEXPECTANT THAT I THINK THATS ONE OF THE REASONS MANY LIKE IT, LIKE MYSELF.

Actually 50% of your favorite rappers are still in the streets, you'll be surprised
Exactly. Fools trippin if they think a lot of these rappers dont get money in the streets too. They dont touch it, but the money comes back to them. Thats somethin I learned a long time ago.

Exactly

Alot of cats on here dont know shit about the streets shit tehy havent even been in the street except when they crossing it and most are just talking here for fun. Rap is a artists legal cover up, I know a platinum artist right now taht has many business but stills push that biz. Just like the average everyday dope boy has to have a cover up 9-5 so the feds wont be on that azz. PEOPLE JUST JUDGE A ARTIST BY THEY MUSIC AND NOT KNOWING TEHY REAL PERSONALITY. Remeber rap is like a movie and the artist is a character they have real lifes too.

Who is this individual though? I'm just curious. I'm sure u dont want to expose him, but he's a rapper. I'm sure he already exposed himself. I'm sure he's one of the types that raps about how he's ballin and he's still in the streets duckin and dodgin bullets and slangin that snow and sittin on chrome 24's and smokin that purp in the hood and ridin dirty cuz its gangsta.

Cant really blame Hip Hop cops for shit, cuz rappers are always telling on themselves in audio cd's that u can buy for $15. So it makes it alot easier for these cops to just pull em' over. And thats when they catch em' ridin dirty. Its a good move for rappers nowadays though, because goin to jail is promotion to prove they actually do live their lyrics, i mean rap about all the dirt they done been through. sheeeeeyit!!

Being a southern artist myself, I wouldnt dare try to defend the amount of wack ass music the south has put out over the last 3 or 4 years, mainly Atlanta. They make us all look bad down here.

100% truth. I was 15 when I was fuckin with this one label, the CEO used to have money like hell even tho his albums really didnt sell. Til I went to his house and saw plenty of dope in that bitch. Thats when he put me up on game. He told me a lot of artists by name who are in the streets hustlin hard without touchin the work. I aint gon say names, but them big time record label CEO's and the ones who u think are soft...those are the main ones.
