I was just talking to my cousin and group member and he was saying that the Bay artists have eally stepped up their game and when I hear some of the stuff on the KMEL show FROM THE BLOCK I am really impressed. The New Bay is gonna slap fa sho. I'm feeling The Jacka, Cipherminds, Quinn, Turf Talk, The Federation and The Team to name a few.

Listening to this shit makes me wanna step up my production even more. If we just keep up our tradition of not hatin on each other like other cities we will keep it hot.

because the bay had releases like these in 2003!! and its only gonna get better!

here's my top 3 and why!

#1 C-BO- MOBFATHER: This is c-bo hungry again to me non stop bangers, every feature was on point & he networked like he did wit till my casket drops again.. wit rappers like 40 glocc, fed-x, truck and kj... and he switched up production..a very well put togther album I just wish he woulda put that cut my lifestyle on mobfather cuz thatz tha only one i knocc off westside ryders! Favorite Tracc- #14 Involves The Hustle (I think)

#2 Ridah J Klyde- Fly Gangsta: This album just reminds me of hot august nites just hyphee as fucc in the drop knoccin "Get YO Money Mane" or "THEY THROWED US RIGHT ON OUT" man those songz knocc... and that only 2 traccs, the other 12 songz are knoccers this is the only album i bought that i felt everytracc.. production by thizzele and rob lo and features like AL boo boo, JACK & HUS, KEAK & Tha Cuththoats are only added treats for my ears Rydah easily outshined everyone and coulda had no features!! Favorite Tracc- GET YO MONEY MANE!!!!!!!

#3 BEUNO- Change Tha Game
I cant belive this cat hasnt got any exposure he has one of the tightest albums comin out the west in years he sounds like a vet but he the rookie of the year! this album is stacked wit features that just highlight the album features like mac dre, keak & dola ike, mob figaz, ghetto starz, Yukmouth, Harm, E-40 and more.. your thinkin anyone wit thoze features can make a dope album but dud shines he's got top notch production and spitz some cold ass shit...he is the leader of the new generation of sac i think..I'mma work wit him fa sho! favorite song- hustle ft.yukmouth


I couldnt put keak cuz he had 2 dope ass albums That farm boyz is fuccin shittin and copium I mean is probably the tightest cd keak has ever made!! Big slep rocks- california project diservs a listen with features like yuk, messy marv, mac dre, gp, marvaless, capitol and rep on the street to hold what he speakin on is rare these dayz,also releases from a-wax, Supernatural records (Dubb20, Pueblo Indians) Mob Figaz, Mac Dre, Uzi, B-legit, E-40, Yuk, 151, Playa Rae, M-dash, Gamblaz are all worth coppin!!

the great thing about on the block is they only play shit that could be played at any time of the day. every song has mainstream potential without taking away from the bay sound. now them actually playing them every time of the day is another story

it's not so much the fans hate artists than their favorites, it's just that we are doing are part by making sure the game doesn't get saturated with weak artists.... we have an image to maintain and we need to weed those that are lowering the quality of the bay... so if that is hating, so be it...

I like the on the block show but I think they need to play more bay meaning quality shit by artists that dont have a name yet from what I heard and I could be wrong because I only listened to it 3 weekends but it seems like they play the same 8 or 9 songs all the time and mix in some oldschool bay shit dont get me wrong Im glad for the cats that they are playin but damn they just started playin Sean T he should have been gettin spins days ago anyway until the DJ diggs into the bottom of the pile of cd's that people sent to him and play it I'm still skeptical about the show but at least its a start.

alot of solid releases this in 2003 and alot of people got big distro deals.

KMEL FINALLY showing love for local talent a little more helped the bay out alot.

That's not what I meant by that. I understand the weak shit needs to get weeded out, that's all good. But I've seen cats actually HATE on new cats who actually have something to offer to the game. And, believe it or not, a lot of cats listen to garbage and leave the tight shit behind. This is just what I see a lot, and my eyes and ears are ALWAYS to the streets!!

its lookin good for the Bay cause finally after some years new people are blowin up, like a 2nd wave....Rick Rocks shit is hot now, Baby Bash, E40 is on top, and nwo that Keak signed to Sony shit can only get better.....radio play doesnt hurt either even if its at midnight

slowly we comin back tho

finally someone gave props to the mobbfatha!!! I haven't heard much praise of that album much on here...... The Bay ain't gonna sleep forever and this year is starteing off tight azz hell....I think the newest cats that are gonna do it are The Team and Balance. J klyde is tight as well. Thats nothin against all the vet's though, they get mad luv from me.........
