All of our conversations on why the bay/CA don't gain popularity end with relationships. Rappers with fans, radio, streets, etc. Turfs with each other, towns with each other. Club Promoters, owners, rappers with each other, you get it.
As I look back at this last chance at fame we had and how it fell apart, I trip off of the relationships that those in the middle of the rise had and how they fell apart. At the center of most of the explosion were Chuck from Done Deal and Big Von. Not to belittle anyone else in the situation, but Chuck had the radio and was throwing parties/shows and Von was playing the songs on the radio and in the club. For a while in the city, there were real rap shows with nothing bad happening, shit that was unheard (since like the 80's) of up until that point. When will you hear again of a show with the whole Done Deal Fam, FAB, Frontline, Balance, The Team, all on the same bill? Plus it would be advertised on the radio?
Somewhere along the way relationships like that fell apart. Until we reconnect every aspect of the entertainment industry in the bay we will continue to struggle.

he talking some real things. but it starts at the home front. get it together in the bay first. artists, management teams, etc. quit hating on eachothers shine. the animosity is real obvious right here on this board. west bay, east bay, north bay, everyone's in the same boat sinking. last time i checked the game is about moving units and getting money. not burning bridges, artists, fans, etc. its the team that suceeds, not just an artist. no real business in the bay. cats ready to invest and try to help out get turned off by the ignorance to the game. imo.

This is what I been sayin' for the longest time... but until someone like FAB blows up on a nationwide tipp and puts evryone on frm evrywhere, aint no unity gonna happen. It's gonna take a dude with open arms to put anyone & evryone on from the west to get shit blowin'.
