and fuck being creative....cats tag....or what you call...''WORDS''...to get there name out there...not to just make ther tag look pretty....the only way you could be creative is if your doing a piece or mural and im talkin about legal shit......but when your doin shit like that and filming then there aint no time to be creative...
I understand the nature of getting up and battling for who can hit up the most. But there also comes into play an actual talent or creativity you put towards your letters, and the style and angles you use when writing on a wall, even if you're just tagging letters. Their whole style is kindergarten-dropout at it's worst. Just about all of the dudes on that video wrote sloppy as fuck, and have absolutely no bombing skills whatsoever either. I've been crossed out and dissed by fools like that, and it's annoying. Then they come through wanting to battle, and you just want to crack their heads in. It's a lose-lose situation with them, because me battling them on who could get up the most is embarrassing to me, due to the fact they have no skills to begin with. If they have other graffiti talents that's a plus, but it doesn't give them excuse to go out tagging. That's why artists in crews that aren't any good at tagging stick to doing the pieces and bombs. Believe me homie, I've been there when you've got to hit a spot quick and break the fuck out. If I sucked that bad I would've left it alone.

and theres nothing wrong with tagging, theres something wrong with people tagging with fucking stock tips with fuzzy outlines, or not having handstyles, or bieng scary when theyre tagging (like that it shit)
when you actually learn how to pull your fucking hand away to make parts of a letter bigger or putting it closer to make certain parts smaller you can do artistic tagging.

im not sure if you notice....but every city has different handstyles....a writer could be toy and stuil have some sort of style...like having fades on the top or at the bottom....or you might just write regular ass letters no one flow.....but have drips....you live in san diego.....i dont really know how big the graff scene is out there....but ive seen that small lil tag you had in your sig...so uh...yea

little do you know i lived in san francisco, have a graffiti record in san francisco, did a mural with precita eyes and went to school at academy of art..
keep tryna school me on sf handstyles though..lmao

i just checked out that Piece By Piece DVD and i gotta give it two thumbs up for the fact that i live in the city and how the dvd had me reminisce the whole graffiti scene in SF from 1983-2004. only thing i thought they shouldve did was represented more graf crews that were actually from SF like ESL or HTS cause they were running shit in the late 90s. or about the TK vs DOT battle cause that shit was straight nuts. other than that, its a great dvd and a must cop for any sf writer. but yeah, about those MSK AWR cats and others coming from out the city bombing out here... yeah they cool, but city vets need 2 step it up. props 2 buter, twick, igni, dug, etc. rip-dream, tie...
