best scenario that coulda happened the world is still impressed
it would have felt better if we had gotten down first, made a comeback, and lost, but to lose a two goal lead is gonna make this sting. we played amazing in the first half, and looked like we either relaxed or just got exhausted in the second, i mean really, 46 seconds in?? really? but still overall i think we proved that we can play with the best in the world.

definitely could have used bradley in the midfield too....clark and feilhaber played very well but bradley brings a bit of everything and can cover a lot of ground over the course of a game.

US needs to work on their defending in the air. Lucio was basically unmarked, same with kaka when he scored but was disallowed. They are so big they should dominate in the air. Did adu even play one minute in this tournament? Either he sucks or bob Bradley has no faith in him...

naw adu didn't play a single min. and the reason is he's not playing AT ALL at his club. and bradley made it clear you need to be at least getting SOME run...

But i guarantee Adu starts in all gold cup games coming up

Not sure how this transfer will work for either side. It's huge for us soccer, that's a given. Think both sides may end up regretting it, though. AC gets a good CB who is big (tall and strong) who will probably be able to mark the larger strikers in serie a very well, and it was a free transfer which saves them money to fill kaka's void. But, ac plays the fastest game of any team in the league and onyewu has zero pace. He will be fairly useless going forward. He flopped at Newcastle because he couldn't keep up with the speed. On top of that, ac has already strengthened their backline this summer and it will be tough for him to earn a spot in the starting squad. With wc right around the corner the last thing the usmnt needs is gooch rotting away on the bench. On top of all that he is going to be playing as a black American in one of the most racist and nationalist countries in Europe. Wish him the best though and I'm excited to see him matched up against the ibras, militos, amauris, etc of serie a.

i remember him against juventus when he played for moanaco and he impressed.... all that time on the bench is affecting his game

^adu does look pretty bad, but its not his skill. its fitness. dude is just not in game shape. and the only way to get in game shape is to actually play in games obviously. which he doesn't...

hopefully benfica plays him more this year

benfica has their eyes on all kinds of strikers according to goal.com (not that i trust goal.com because it seems like more than half of their stories turn out to be bullshit) but either way it doesnt sound like they have adu in their plans

Way way way short handed for our game against panama.... we need the vet Brian Ching to do WORK for us!!!!

and the up and coming Robbie Rogers and Stuart Holden need to play very well... and hopefully our back 4 is ready to handle the attack... Parkhurst is back with his club team so thats an addition but subtraction right there
