If he does nothing, its just gonna slip... you cant give him shit for trying to get us out.
If he does nothing we will be fine.

You can't just help the economy by just "creating jobs". Where do you think that money will come from when the workers receive their checks? Where do you think all the money from the stimulus packages is going to come from?

Its all fake wealth. And we will be paying for it in the end if he goes on with those plans.

if he does nothing we will be fine? where the fuk do you live? half a million people lost jobs, their lively hoods and hella people forclosed their houses... so if he does nothing about it, it will get better? Yeah, and people are gonna be on unemployment forever (where you think that money comes from?)

sorry man, not everyone lives at home with mom and dad and gets shit bought for them. There are people out there trying to support their families.

i think peter schiff can explain it better than me. and he aint no republican or democrat taking sides. if you look him up on youtube, you could see he predicted everything that is going on today

i mean, i want obama to do good when he takes office, but he's wrong for trying to spend our way through debt. it's not going to save us from the economy going to shit, it's just going to delay it.

Eventually the economy will be fine, even if nothing is done, peaks and valleys are just the way out economy is designed, its like someone playing with a yoyo on an escalator, it may seem really up and down or low, but on a grander scale it will always move up.

You act like socialism is the answer when its not, Capitalism is the real answer, we just havent had real Capitalism.

Money comes from wealth that any country produces their own products, sells them and saves. We Americans on the other hand have not produced our products or saved. All the Americans have been doing is borrowing and consuming.

To answer your question on where money comes from. The US either receives its money by borrowing from foreigners or by the printing press.

All this money being printed or might be getting printed by the Obama administration will cause Inflation and the worst depression since the Great Depression. But not with the prices falling, but with prices rising with no economic growth and higher unemployment, this is stagflation and thats what we will be facing soon.

"A nation can create money and the individual cannot. But the more money it prints, the less purchasing power the money will have. The end result is our nation will ultimately destroy its economy with inflation."-Peter Schiff

I agree with with Collapse, it doesn't matter who the president is. We are all Americans who are all one in the fight for this recession. We need to start taking some responsibility for our own debts and stop trying to rely on the president elect to bail us out for a lifetime of problems. I am not Racist at all but I think people need to stop thinking the man is God and going to be our savior just cause he is the first "Black" President.

Peter Schiff is right on the money. Never seen t his guy before but i was just talkin with my co workers about this same situation. The part where he said people would buy a house and borrow money then buy consumer electronics or remodel there house. But then when it came time to paying the house down or making a payment they wouldnt do it or they would just turn in the keys in the mail and take off. Its shit like that, that is killin us. Dude is on point.

If recession was good, we wouldnt be trying to avoid it so much. Now it can get pretty deep in detail, but how I see it, its fukd, either way.

I aint saying Obama is god because he's black, that is dumb to say and uneducated to think that.

Most people on here are young and have part time jobs while going to school... while most people outside of siccness are people trying to live their lives, take care of their families. When millions are lose their ways of living, that's good? Lets say in a year they still cant find a job to support their family? Is that good? Times that by a million.

I dont need to be a boss baller, I'm just tryna live comfortably, pay my bills, take care of family. I never try to live outta my means and that has saved me when I got laid off after 9/11 from Boeing.

If it was so great to be a 3rd world country, i dont think people would be trying hard to avoid it. I'm not talking about the millionaire ceos, I'm talking about the people working just like me.

Wait until you cant afford to take care of your kids and your bills. let america lose all the jobs, cost of living rise and let people lose everything they have.

Course if you can live at home and work at mcdonalds to pay for your car, its all good.

everything has its ups and downs... even capitalism and socialism.

and of course our economy will recover...its just a matter how and when and how many people is it gonna effect then and now.
I dont want to be unemployee until I lose everything.. then try to get a job years later.

and yes, I also believe some of the problems lie within some of the markets that gave short incentives, like the housing boom. Alot of people were duped to buy a house when in actuality they could barely afford it. And banks like WAMU, were stupid to think these short cuts to get people in houses were a good idea as long as they make the quick buck.

Theres no pain free cure for a recession. Bailing out companies, inflating the currency for stimulus packages is only going to delay the recession by making it worse.
I aint saying Obama is god because he's black, that is dumb to say and uneducated to think that.
He is uneducated in economics.
Most people on here are young and have part time jobs while going to school... while most people outside of siccness are people trying to live their lives, take care of their families. When millions are lose their ways of living, that's good? Lets say in a year they still cant find a job to support their family? Is that good? Times that by a million.
What does going to school, going to work, not going to work, living with your parents have to do with all of this?

These policies will make more unemployment happen and also take people alway from the private sector. Let the recession pass and let these corporations, banks, small companies, auto companies, the bond market, ect. go bankrupt, yes unemployment will happen, but another management will buy off these companies and hire them back.

I dont need to be a boss baller, I'm just tryna live comfortably, pay my bills, take care of family. I never try to live outta my means and that has saved me when I got laid off after 9/11 from Boeing.
Ya it'll all be gravy when the money inflates and hyperinflation kicks in. Now what would you do then?

If it was so great to be a 3rd world country, i dont think people would be trying hard to avoid it. I'm not talking about the millionaire ceos, I'm talking about the people working just like me.
We will be heading towards a 3rd world country if we dont get our act together. Just wait for the prices rise. Just wait when the dollar will not be able to buy a thing.
Wait until you cant afford to take care of your kids and your bills. let america lose all the jobs, cost of living rise and let people lose everything they have.
Its going to be worse than that.

Course if you can live at home and work at mcdonalds to pay for your car, its all good.
Nothing to do with the economic crisis.

everything has its ups and downs... even capitalism and socialism.
Sure, but we havent had real capitalism

and of course our economy will recover...its just a matter how and when and how many people is it gonna effect then and now.
I dont want to be unemployee until I lose everything.. then try to get a job years later.

i'll give you an estimate on when it will recover. about 9-10 years. Well thats what some economists are predicting because of the inflation of the currency with all these bail outs and stimulus packages.
