loll they're not...All I'm thinking about the 49ers playoffs..

I just been telling you all delusional raiders fans the real truth...
Wait, being tied for first and thinking theres a good shot at the playoffs = delusional?

How about last year when the 9ers were like 1-5 and everyone was saying "theres still a chance, the NFC west is bad, we are still mathematically alive!"

ben Roethlisberger gets hurt all the time but never misses a game. He limped off the field and came back into the game later on.

I wish Raider running backs were this tough

Why the Raiders Will Beat the Packers Sunday
by Greg Smith

Pop the champagne Miami, the undefeated Packers will lose this weekend.

Over the past three seasons, Green Bay has lost just three games at Lambeau Field. One was Brett Favre’s triumphant Viking return in 2009. Another was to the Dolphins in 2010.

The third came at the hands of Carson Palmer.

In Week 2 of 2009, Palmer outplayed Aaron Rodgers to lead the Bengals past the Packers 31-24. Palmer threw for three TDs and ran for one against Dom Capers’ Green Bay defense. That day Cincinnati rushed for 150 yards, converted 9 of 14 third downs, and won time of possession 33:48 – 26:12. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst games of his career, throwing only 1 TD and taking 6 sacks. Green Bay couldn’t run the ball. Ryan Grant lost a fumble.

The ‘11 Raiders are similar to those ‘09 Bengals, and should have similar success in Green Bay. Oakland has a great offensive line that can control the clock with the running game, a defense that can rush the passer, and a veteran roster that won’t get rattled on the road, as evidenced by Raider wins this year in Houston and San Diego.

But the biggest similarity is Palmer, who has faced Capers’ defensive scheme many times. As a Bengal, he played Dick LeBeau’s Steelers twice a year. LeBeau and Capers run the same system.

Three times Palmer defeated the Steelers in Pittsburgh, throwing 7 TDs to just 2 INTs, with a passer rating of 96. Considering it’s been equally as difficult to win in Pittsburgh as it’s been to win in Green Bay the past few years, Palmer’s four road wins speaks to his leadership and confidence against the LeBeau/Capers scheme.

This Sunday, the Raiders will likely control the line of scrimmage, rush for 150+ yards, and play keep-away from Aaron Rodgers. Palmer will look to find mismatches against an injury-riddled Packers defense, by utilizing his speedy wide receivers and versatile athletes like Marcel Reece.

Oakland’s defense will, of course, have its work cut out facing Rodgers. But where the Raiders have particularly struggled this season is against the run – something the Packers don’t do well. The key in slowing down Green Bay will be creating pressure without blitzing, converging to the ball, and hitting hard once they arrive. The Raiders must force the Packers into fumbles and dropped passes.

A few reasons I like Oakland this week:

Aaron Rodgers (AP)

It’s a must-win for the Raiders and far from a must-win for the Packers.

The Law of Averages says the Packers passing game is due for a clunker. In baseball, there’s usually someone hitting .400 in June, who inevitably falls well short of that mark by season’s end. Green Bay has been completing low percentage passes at high percentages all season and it can’t possibly continue without a misstep. A defense will get to the explosive offense of the ’11 Packers, just like the Bucs defense beat up the ’99 Rams, the Giants got to the ’07 Patriots, and the Jets handled the ’10 Patriots.

Same goes for Rodgers. As machine-like as he has been this season, he is a human… He will have a clunker eventually.

The Packers have a ton of injuries on defense… Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins is definitely out. Linebacker Desmond Bishop is probably out. Linebacker A.J. Hawk looks iffy, and Cornerback Charles Woodson just had a concussion last week.

The Raiders have the best punter/kicker combo in the NFL, which can help make up for a deficiency in yardage.

Hue Jackson’s bravado could lead to a gamble, onside kick or fake, that gains a possession back for Oakland.

Last week, the Raiders had an embarrassing road loss and the Packers had an emotional road win. We often see NFL teams coming off those kinds of games give the opposite performance the following week. Consider earlier this year: Following a 48-3 embarrassment in San Francisco, the Buccaneers beat the Saints, 26-20. After an emotional 23-20 win in Pittsburgh, the Ravens lost to Seattle, 22-17.

Oakland Raiders in beef with hamburger chain

View attachment 106840

OAKLAND, Calif — The Oakland Raiders tried to throw a penalty flag on a small hamburger chain when they filed a lawsuit claiming trademark infringement over an advertising campaign.

Nation's Hamburgers have 25 locations in the Bay Area, and one in Citrus Heights. The business is running an advertising campaign using the slogan "Raid A Nation's," featuring a hamburger with a eyepatch.
The Raider's said that's too similar to their trademarked phrase "Raider Nation".
"I think it's much ado about nothing", said Nation's customer Ron Macon. His advice? "Hey, eat a cheeseburger, love the Raiders."
But the owner of an East Bay sports lounge popular with the Raider Nation said he understood the team's response "I think it's part of the business," said Ricky Ricardo, owner of "Ricky's Sports Theater" in San Leandro. "They've got an investment and these days you've got to watch what you do."

The Raiders said attempts to negotiate with Nation's failed. Now the team is looking to take a bite out of Nation's bottom line by asking for unspecified damages.
A phone call to Nation's corporate offices to find out about the beef with the Raiders was not returned Thursday night.

I understand tha trademark and money issues.. but shitt at least nations showin tha raiders some love damnit!

Two ass whoopins in a row!

This was not a surprise to me and probably alot of people. During the week when the Raiders arived in GB, all Michel Huff was talking about was how cold it was and badly the o-line was dressed on his twitter. I knew right then and there when i read what that girl huff was talking about, that we were gonna get our asses whooped!! Huff is a twitter whore and not a football junkie. He has no time to be on twitter with how he plays on the field this year...He should sleep with a football, wake up lift weights, tackling drills in his living room, bear crawl around his house, stop going to Jamba Juice and Chipotle all the time and focus on the game of football.....I dont want him as a raider anymore, he dosent fit the standard.....Sure hes not the only problem but i cant stand HUFF anymore...He wants to be in his home state of texas anyways....Fuck outta here HUFF..Puto

Mcfadden is probably not coming back and Carson did not look good at all yesterday. I had a negative outlook on this team before the season started, but early on they proved me wrong. Now we get to crunch time at the end of the year and we backpeddle, while the the Broncos surge ahead and take the division.

I always feel like combating our situation with firing a coach and things will get better, but when we do fire the coach and get a new one its still the same ole shit.

On a side not, ROB RYAN! LOL

Who blows 4th quarter leads more than this guy!!!!!..He plays almost a prevent defense when the games on the line and usually loses....He let Eli score 2 TD in the last 3 minutes...Watching that last night was all to familiar...Looked like the raider defenses when he was the captin of our ship...All these national radio stations thought he was the best thing since sliced bread when the cowboys got him....At the begining of the year everyone thought Dallas would have a top tier defense, while us Raider fans sat back and were like HOW THEY HAVE ROB PREVENT DEFENSE WHEN GAME IS ON THE LINE RYAN when did he become good?

Im ranting o well

we need to win out and hope denver losses 2. we got a shot with them losing only to NE, i think we take the tie breaker but im not too sure. divisional record would be the same, conference record would be the same, wins against common opponents is the same i think, damn it wil be close.
