cutler being out can hurt us too, makes it easier for denver and kc. I'd rather cutler played against us, than have him be out against our division rivals. I think we would have a better chance of beating the bears with cutler, than they would. I imagine cutler was looking forward to shitting on denver after what went down when he was there.

mcclain has been playing hurt for most of the season and it's still pretty clear that our defense is better with him than without. I think he'll be yet another one of our players that gets doubted then has a breakout year.

joey, mcclain is tied for 5th in the league with 11 passes defended. the rest of the top 10 are all cb's. numbers from today haven't been added though.

I really like McClain. He is only in his second year and the potential is huge.
I notice him giving up on plays once they get past him but I think that can be attributed to his ankle injury he has had for weeks.
Watch him out there directing the defense. McClain is going to continue to get better.

Thats cool but im still not impressed. He still dosent recognize plays fast enough for me and has been exposed on missing assignments in pass coverage. He should of had that pick today 2 and took that back for 6

McClain is doing his job. When he is not calling the defensive alignments we seem to get beat with more big plays. I think he is the difference. He needs to start blowing up his gap when those lineman or fullbacks come downhill on him though. Fuck the tackle, make the RB take a different lane. When he isnt out there, we see how important he is.

One game, one win at a time. We still haven't played our best football yet....

Honest question:

Why are the Raiders always leading the league (or at the top) of most penalized teams?
I like the Raiders (not a fan), but I think you guys have a ton of potential that is never lived up to.....I mean, was that all Al's doing or just a general attitude?

I would love nothing better than the Niners and Raiders being at the top of their divisions......but seriously, wtf is the issue?

Either way, fuck the Chargers.....good luck to the Raiders the rest of the season.

We do make stupid penalties but it seems the Raiders always get called for bullshit calls. I watch our d-lineman get tackled all over the field yet no holding calls. I think it is a bias towards us but I am biased so fuck it. It is the Raiders vs. the NFL every week!lol

All bullshit aside, the NFL really does hate the Raiders.
How can they not, Al Davis sued the league a bunch of times (won almost all of them).
He was the only owner to side with the United States Football League in an anti-trust suit against the NFL.
He has been fucking with the NFL front offices for decades.
I watch a lot of football games and there are bad calls everywhere, but there are REALLY bad/blatent calls/no calls against the Raiders.

Edit: I think it boils down to Al Davis was smarter than the league front office. Their only way to get him back was poor officiating.
Tuck rule....

refs are stupid and tend to make calls against us based on reputation. the same shit happens in the nba, but it's more of an individual thing there. ron artest always gets called for stupid shit, that the majority of other players won't get called for. it's based on his past reputation and nothing more. raiders have been known as the badboys of the nfl for a long time, so refs go into games expecting to make a lot of calls on us.

for as bad as people make us seem, we're one game out of having the best record in the afc lol we need to try to lock up the #2 seed, which will be hella hard, but i see 5 games that we could possibly win. tough games, but possible wins.

and if it wasnt for JC going down, we could possibly be at 8-2 right now. but maybe JC going down made us a better team, although our record might not of been better.

veldheer did a great job today against the league leader in sacks beside 1 holding penalty. no sacks for the first time this year for jared allen!

our d-line has 11 sacks in the last two games, gave up 45 yards rushing to running backs today and 75 total rushing last game, we keep the pressure up and stop the running backs we got a shot at beating chicago.

I bet those refs from the game won't be working in the playoffs.

you can say what you want about the calls, whether they were the right or wrong calls being made. this right here is some bullshit though, no way around it:

But Jackson is more upset about the job officials did communicating things to him and he said he often felt "brushed aside."

"Sometimes I would get talked to as if they didn't know what I was asking. I just don't think it was fair. I asked several times for explanations and wouldn't get them. ... We can't get the ref over here when there is a break in the action, but he is over there on the other bench having conversations with them. I have a hard time with that."

Who do Raider fans root for in chargers v. broncos? Chargers have a worse record, but are a bigger threat to the raiders IMO. Broncos wont hang in the long run.
But if broncos win the raider lead is back to a half game

we need the chargers to win, since they're done anyway. sd has a tougher remaining schedule, denver has the easiest I think. denver's defense is playing great right now too, we need them to lose.
