a lot of questionable coaching decisions in the game. why was dhb(our most productive receiver) sittin' on the bench for most of the game. he only got 1 target, yet housh gets 4. tj may or may not end up being a good signing, but for this game, he shouldn't have got more targets than dhb. especially after being off the field for 10 months and still learning the playbook. why exactly was hue having palmer throw the ball so much? he should have had him run the same offense as campbell. lean on the run game and take shots here and there. play it safe for his first start. bush didn't get enough carries and neither did taiwan.

it seems like hue's priority was to prove himself right about the recent signings, instead of just doing what was needed to win the game. seems like hue doesn't really understand that he was wrong to do that either. at the presser he said he expects more from palmer. like he doesn't realize dude had no OTA's, no camp, is still learning the playbook and trying to build chemistry with the rest of the players on offense. maybe having to take on more of a GM role with al gone is too much for him. it is his first time being a head coach and now he's forced to be a GM too.

I think hue is a good coach, but he's letting too many things distract him. we need a gm and for hue to stop paying attention to the media. who gives a fuck what they say and think. I wouldn't have cared if palmer only threw 15 passes and completed 8. as long as we won. tj should have just sat this one out.

I was just looking at the stats again. moore got 12 targets, meanwhile dhb and ford had 7 targets combined. I really like moore, but that just isn't right. especially with him going up against champ.

Should the Raiders go back to Campbell if they can?

The Oakland Raiders surrendered plenty of plunder to bring QB Carson Palmer aboard at the trade deadline when previous starter Jason Campbell broke his clavicle three weeks ago. And who could blame them really? They were 4-2 and seemed to have the horses to win the middling AFC West.

CAPTIONBy Kirby Lee, US Presswire

Now they're 4-4. And though Palmer showed flashes of his vintage self in yesterday's game vs. the Broncos, Oakland still collapsed, giving away a game to a last-place club. Palmer has now thrown six INTs in six quarters of work -- perhaps not to be unexpected given his extreme change of circumstances in lately -- but that's two more picks than Campbell had in six starts this season.

The question taking shape now is this: Will/should the team go back to Campbell this season?

Campbell has not been placed on season-ending injured reserve, and his recovery timetable was pegged at about six weeks.

"I think the Raiders sort of know what they have in Jason Campbell. He's a game manager and was comfortable in that offense," says former league MVP and current NFL Network analyst Joe Theismann, who watched Campbell closely when he was in Washington.

"If Jason came back, he's still my starter," said Theismann.

Campbell is ticketed for free agency in 2012 and told Comcast SportsNet Bay Area last month: "I'm a starter in this league. ... I look around the league, and I play at a higher level than most guys. I'm definitely a starter, and I'm not ready to accept being in a backup role."

Might Raiders coach Hue Jackson feel the same way later this month, especially if his offense is still struggling but the team is in contention? The "Just Win, Baby" mantra might feel weightier than ever during a year that saw the passing of team patriarch Al Davis.

But given the lack of draft picks Oakland has in the coming years -- including at least one first-rounder surrendered for Palmer -- showing a lack of faith in his new (presumably long-term) signal caller could be equally risky.

I personally think no. Hue has chose our fate and we must continue with it. Although I'm biased, I have always thought Jason Campbell was simply average and I have always liked Carson Palmer.

Carson Palmer is better than Jason Campbell, just look at the TD passes he threw to Reece and Ford, Campbell doesn't make those passes.

The defense should be blamed, they had two weeks to prepare for a qb that can't even throw the damn ball.

And why was DHB only targeted one time?

im gettin tired of these opposing teams players celebrating in front of the black hole, i hope the defense is too. some needs to smack one of these guys for doing it like t.o when he got lit up in dallas. we get 20 penalties a game might as well make one count!

how the fuck did our d get worked by that stupid option play tebow ran? fuck that shit was wack lol
Man they ran the same 4 plays, damn shame, worst defense I've ever seen.

It was either Tebow up the gut, right or left
Willis up the gut right or left
Or Tebow passing to dude cutting across the middle of the field.

Does Hue know anything about defense?

Even Hue Jackson said that some advice he got some Al Davis was to "just do your job."
When his job was being the head coach, he was doing a great job. Now that he is trying to do all this extra shit with no oversight it seems his head is getting too big.

My thoughts are that some players on the team complained to him about his moves and he benched them as punishment.
No reason for DHB and Boss to not play. None.
No reason for TJ to get that many snaps with almost no practice.
I believe that there is turmoil in the Raiders locker room.
I predict that if the Raiders lose the next game, the season is a wrap.

If Campbell was still healthy the Raiders would probably be 6-2. But it's not where we are. We are in bizarro land where Alex Smith is 7-1.

Lol clever dfresh...

Anyways fuckin a. I wish JC's never got hurt on that stupid ass play diving I think n he coulda totally avoided it too.

Like most r sayin I think since al passed away and hue having all this control, it's gettin to his head.

I don't like our new game plan which is throwing more. We're built as a run first team. I know dmac is out but we still have one of the best if not the best back up RB in the league who could be a starter on a lot of teams. Why not utilize him and run run run. No need to change up our game plan wit bush. He can still be used the way dmac was plus we still got jones.

Seems like hue is tryna prove everyone wrong and switch up our game plan and throw a bunch wit palmer.

How does the sang go? "if it works, don't change it" or however it goes. It totally applies to this situation. We were 4-2 for a reason. Why change it all up now? It worked for a reason... Now let's go back to the old game plan and keep RUNNING it. We're supposed to be 6-2 but NO, cuz hue decided to get all big headed n shit he changes it up.... I actually like hue as a coach but if he keeps this kinda shit up, shit will turn around for the bad real quick.

RAIDER NATION BITCH!

Never that. I think the Raiders will lose that game. Shit is getting sour right now in Oakland. WHEN things go sour in San Francisco, the first thing I do WON'T be to hit the 49er thread and make myself feel better by talking shit. In fact, I won't even enter that thread. The 49ers QB is STILL Alex Smith. He will remind you of that eventually, and I'll bet it comes at a very crucial point in the season.

Troll on dumb ass, I'll just stop reading.

We need Al Davis... people always said that the Raiders would be better when he died, it seems like they're worse. Hue Jackson needs a boss to answer to...

Don't know why DHB didn't get that many balls thrown his way....

what we need is a GM! Let Hue Jackson do his damn job and coach!! not make power moves... but regardless of tha situations we put up #s against tha donkeys, our defense gets tha blame!! Yeah CP threw another 3 picks ( expected ) but at tha same time he kept us in tha game.. not his fault Tebow made our d look like some damn highschoolers.. told yal a Tebow led donkey team is better than an Orton team.. dude literally kills us with this feet.. fuck I coulda came up with a better defensive game plan than Chuck B!! but DHB being dropped to #5 is no excuse.. he's starting to come to his own so Hue benches him? Yes I belive Ford and Moore or more of a playmaking type WR than DHB who is all speed nd yac.. but still dudes been hungry lately.. now that Als gone Hue's jus doing whatever tha fuck he wants to do which is fine as long as we put up Ws.. until then lets get us a damn GM... Madden get into tha office and lets get it together.. give Mark or Amy a call
