PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Eagles just announced on their team's Web site that they have released quarterback Jeff Garcia to make room on the 53-man roster for 32-year-old linebacker, Jeremiah Trotter.
Garcia, who joined the Eagles after starting quarterback Donovan McNabb went down with a broken rib during the team's Week 1 game, was released by the Oakland Raiders before the season started. However, it was reported that Raiders' head coach Tom Cable said that Garcia requested out of Oakland.
With McNabb a possibility to play next Sunday, the efficient play of backup Kevin Kolb and Michael Vick on the active roaster, Garcia became the odd man out as the Eagles attempt to shore up the linebacker position.
Trotter, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, has not played since 2007. He is now in his third stint (1998-2001 and 2004-2005) with the Eagles.

our WRs needa get it together!!!! They aint helpin Russell!!! Running fucked up routes... the only polished reciever we have is a TE.. Zach Miller! He runs proper routes Russell can hit him wherever he's at... Murphy is getting there.. DHB is sloppy.. Walker is shit.. Higgins will get there as well.. Schillens gots it and needs to return from injury asap!!
I'm not making any excuses for Russell what so ever.. I want him benched just as bad as you do.. I'm jus stating it like it is.. these WRs aren't no help.. put a Manning or Tom Brady on the Raiders and were still not gonna be shittin.. we'll be an average offense... DHB gots speed but he needs to learn how to run proper routes and get separation from the DBs.. Murphy on the other hand is coming along real nice.. and will be one of our best WRs for a long time! It seemed like Higgins and Russell began making a connection last season.. but so far he has nothing to show!...... But believe me Im all for benching Russell,, he has been fuckin up!
How can anybody do shit on offense if we have this weak suck who cant even get them the ball????????Gee fuckin wizz.......
I bet if we had a slightly smarter and more accurate QB, who gives a shit about the game...... We would have beat SD......Why was Jammer able to get that pick when we marched down the field in the 1st half.......Why was Russell overthrowing recivers hella bad.........We only beat KC cause of the Defense and the running game.....Plus KC sucks.......Russell was throwing screen passes into the ground against KC........1 passing yard in the second half against denver........a total of 61 passing yards agianst denver.......12-21 for 61 yards and 2 picks with a QB rating of 22%............Ship this fucker out of here, give him his guaranteed money and chalk it up as a loss........Save us the embarassment.....
