^coffee? A recent study I saw on the boob tube showed that drinking coffee before your routine can give u lots of energy to last through your workout. Dark roasts are roasted longer and thus contain less caffeine (because it burns out the longer the beans are roasted).....

NO2 supps are not all they're hyped up to be... but they can help you during your workout

the argument many people have is that it's just caffeine

but you can find shit online that's about the same price of buying an energy drink or a cup of coffee everyday before you workout

I just started fuckin with this shit

^ this aint really an NO supplement though... basically an energy/creatine/bet alanine supp

it's only $25 online and if you take 3 scoops it last for 15 workouts... which $1.66 per workout... you probably pay more if you stop and buy an energy drink or coffee before your workout everyday

gives me some pretty crazy energy and intensity in the gym... but the crash afterwards is pretty hardcore... for a few hours after I'm done working out Ialmost feel like I'm coming down off poppin a thizzelle... lol... other than that it's legit... most supplements are not gonna make or break you progress int he gym... a good diet and routine is all you need... but supplements can give you that little extra boost if everything else is in place

we got way too many "official" threads.

pretty soon, Im gonna start seeing "the official how many times do you wipe your ass before you move on?" threads.

but on the topic.. I just got back from costco. Made a bunch of health conscious purchases. One of the things I got was a big bag of mahi mahi fish. Just cooked some of it up with pilaf and broccoli and the shit was BOMB. Ima fuck with mahi mahi on the regular now.

Here goes a protein bar recipe
5 tbsp natural peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1/2 cup dry oat meal or whole grain hot cereal (uncooked)
1/2 cup oat flour (double the dry oats if you do not have oat flour)
6 scoops chocolate whey protein (approximately 132 grams worth of low-carb protein powder)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flax seeds (optional)
1 cup non-fat dry milk
1/2 cup water (depending on what type of protein you use, you may need to add more)
Modifications: Use vanilla protein and replace ~1/4 cup of the oatflour with a variety of nuts, seeds, or dried berries.
PREPARATION:

Spray an 8x8 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. Combine dry ingredients in a medium size bowl and mix well. Add peanut butter and mix - the mixture will be crumbly and dry. Add water & vanilla. Sponsored Links

Using a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, everything until a dough forms. The dough will be sticky. Spread dough into pan using a clean wooden spoon or spatula that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Refrigerate a few hours (or freeze for an hour) and cut into 9 squares. Wrap bars individually (use sandwich bags or plastic wrap) or store in covered container between sheets of wax paper. Keep refrigerated.
Nutritional Information Per Serving:

197 calories, 21 g protein, 7.2 g fat (8% saturated), 13.7 g carbohydrate, 1.6 g fiber

anyone fucked with NO-Xplode on here?

or any N.O. supps?
Before I moved I was taking No Explode, Cell Mass and Nitrix with a Whey Protien. I had very good results. I think most was due to the no explode because when I tried a couple other products, I actually went downhill. So, I do recommend the No Explode. As far as the others Im sure theres better products.

see, I don't really get a crash with no-xplode...just lots of energy...and I don't take the full serving of 3 scoops...just one or one and half....I'd prolly be on one if i took 3...

yeah maybe... but protein won't really make you too fat if it's lean protein

if you're not active you're better off eating a lot of protein than a lot of carbs
Something I've always been curious about, I've never stuck to the 1-1.5 g per ound because is that just the rule for taking protien or protien your eatin also? How do you judge how much protien is in, say a chicken breast?
