I thought the whole show was pretty coo...I would've liked to have seen it longer with more artists, but hey, I'm happy with what I got....I just wish I could see what they got on the mtv overdrive website, since they said there's more....I hate when shit isn't macintosh compatible....anyone wanna convert & upload that?

considering the show only had about 22 minutes to cover the bay area rap scene, i think they did a pretty good job. we all know the diversity of bay hip hop, and from what mtv covered, they were able to show a lot. i would have never imagined hieroglyphics and zion i getting attention like that, cause i thought they were gonna stick to just bay rap/gangsta shit. it was tight though that they did show them love, cause it shows the world how much variety there is in the bay culture. i'm sure there are a bunch of backpackers that would have liked to see more coverage of hiero, quannum, and all the other heads in that sub genre, but mtv ain't got the time to create a whole mini series to cover all the who's who in the bay.

my only real beef with the show was that they should have showed more mac dre and gave a little bit more time about the legacy that he left behind.

as for nump, i agree with a lot of y'all that they should have gotten somebody with more shit behind them, but from what it looked like, mtv just wanted to show a character from the bay. nump's got that humorous flamboyancy to him, and he was there presenting a short little segment on turf dancing. he served his purpose, he was more of a hype man than anything else.

I just watched the shit and read the last page, so I don't know what people said about Nump. I opinion is that he had absolutly no right to get third after Keak, if I remember right.

Someone said that he is a caracter, maybe true but damn he had one unoriginal song and thats it, no other real input. I'm not trying to hate, thats in my honest opinion. Even Bailey should of gotten more exposure than him, but still both of them should of been but just an after thought, like at the rappers at the end of My Block: Huston. I mean Jacka, Tha Team, Yuk, Messy, The Fed, Frontline, a tribute to Mac Dre could of been used instead of the huge time spot they gave Nump.

I'm sure he knows himself that he was beyond lucky to recieve that ammount of attention he got. More power to you, Nump, I hope you step it up and really make some good music given your opportunity. Make the most of it!

Other than Sway acting like a homosexual Tarzan nut swinger, I felt like a proud father watching the birth of his son (after a fucking decade long pregnacy).

I'll say it now, the Bay anit Back, we anit never really been there in the first place, but WE HERE NOW...

kill the hatred towards nump, can't even have a positive thread on here without a little hate. the man might be far from the most talented in the bay
It's not Hatred...

Like Turf Said to the Asian lady at the store, this is a once in the life time chance...

There are MANY other rappers that are much more deserving, and I dare anyone to argue against that fact.

Maybe so, but its hilarious how some of you are really getting butthurt that someone wasn't shown the spotlight. I'm pretty sure the Bay will get more shine from MTV throughout the year and mainstream will be able to notice your favorite rapper then.

We will get more exposure, the point is of the exposure hw got right now.

All the rich white people watching MTV is going to get on the internet and look up all the artists on My Block and probally pick up some older albums. Nump just doesn't have much to offer in that department.

I hate to say it, but I feel it was a wasted opportunity.

i agree that there are plenty more deserving rappers, but i also agree with whoever said it showed some diversity, showed more than black folks. the bay is real real diverse and nump represents that. that being said equipto, a-wax, many many others are harder than nump, but they only had so much time for the show...

yea same here, when i seen nump on mtv i was disappointed

i don't really listen to numps music so i can't 100% hate on him, but i also do think that other artists deserved more spotlight than nump
