Means nothing. Thats like saying the Warriors are interested in Lebron.

Every team is interested in good youg players. But interest doesnt mean your going to get them.
yeah, if Dallas was really interested in Jackson they would give up someone like Josh Howard for him and i dont think there dumb enough to do that.

As expected, the Warriors re-signed point guard C.J. Watson on Wednesday.
It's believed to be a one-year qualifying offer that will make him an unrestricted free agent next season. He will play backup point guard this year, but could make several starts given Don Nelson's constant lineup tinkering. Then again, with five point guards on hand, it's anyone's guess as to how much run he'll get.

I'm not saying Dallas will get them but sources have reported that both Captain and Monta are on the trading block.

Warriors coach Don Nelson intends to keep Stephen Jackson as the team's captain, despite his public request for a trade.
Golden State isn't giving any indication that they're desperate to unload Jackson, which is probably smart considering the tiny pool of teams who can (or want to) absorb his contract. Nelson doesn't expect any problems, and fortunately Jackson hasn't threatened an Al Harrington-style holdout.

(09-15) 17:15 PDT New York (AP) --
Golden State's Stephen Jackson has been fined $25,000 by the NBA for saying he wanted to be traded.

More Sports

Jackson, who averaged a team-best 20.7 points per game last season, told Dime Magazine last month that he wanted out and had told the front office as much.
Players are not permitted to make trade requests publicly. Ron Artest, then of the Indiana Pacers, was fined during the 2005-06 season for requesting a trade through the media.
Shortly after Jackson's comments were made public, general manager Larry Riley said he still considered the swingman a key part of the team.

The Warriors have agreed to send two future second-round picks to the Nets. In return, they won't have to give up a previously traded, lottery-protected first-round pick until 2012, rather than 2011.
According to Yahoo! Sports, this move gives the Warriors "more time and flexibility to package their 2011 first-round pick." That suggests that they're actively expecting to trade the pick, but sources indicate that nothing ("including anything involving....Stephen Jackson") is on the horizon.

Warriors' Jackson still captain if no dealComment Email Print Share Associated Press

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Don Nelson says the Golden State Warriors will consider trading Stephen Jackson if the team can find the right situation.

Until then, Nelson will embrace Jackson despite Golden State's leading scorer and top defender saying he wanted to be dealt to a winner.

Jackson will remain a captain for the Warriors this season as long as he's in the Bay Area. Nelson said Friday he doesn't expect the emotional swingman to be a distraction in the locker room for a young roster.

Last month, Jackson told Dime Magazine at an event in New York that he wanted out and had made that known to the Warriors brass. But he signed a three-year contract extension in November and is someone the Warriors had considered an integral part of their long-term plans.

hopefully the right deal is a great deal for the warriors and not just a salary dump

Rookie Stephen Curry, who shot just shot just 32.5% in summer league, says he thinks he'll be named Rookie of the Year.
"I think I will be Rookie of the Year," he said. "I have that kind of confidence in myself. I’m not afraid to say it." We are intrigued by Curry, but the fact remains he'll have to win over coach Don Nelson. And there may not be a tougher thing for an NBA rookie to do. There are also rumblings that Monta Ellis is not happy about the arrival of Curry. The drama continues in GSW.
