Free agent forward Rob Kurz is hoping to sign with the Sixers this summer.
He is not likely to return to the Warriors next season, although he did have several decent stretches for coach Don Nelson last year. Regardless of where he lands, it's unlikely that Kurz will have fantasy relevance this season.

Corey Maggette had surgery to relieve pain in his right wrist on Monday, but he is expected to return to normal basketball activities in about one month.
The Warriors said Maggette's surgery will require "minimal rehabilitation", and he should be 100% by the time training camp rolls around.

^ True, but I am sure just by the simple fact that Kurz and his family are still alive and still have their souls intact, is a giveaway that Foyle gave him the 'OK'.

I heard that there was a deal involved where Kurz got to keep the number, but his family has to be Foyle's slave for all eternity.
wait... they didn't retire Foyle's number?

wtf?
I'm surprised they didn't retire 31 from every sport team, everywhere. Even little league.

ESPN The Magazine released its seventh annual Ultimate Standings, which measure how 122 teams in the four major U.S. sports fare in "paying back fans for their investment of time, money and passion."

In the category of Title Track — the team's dedication to winning championships — your Golden State Warriors ranked 122nd. Congratulations, Chris Cohan and management team. It took 15 long, hard years, but all expectations have been destroyed.

Overall, the six-category system leaves the Warriors with room to fall; they came in 109th thanks to a very generous 66th-place finish in "bang for the buck." And amazingly enough, 10 owners were considered worse than Cohan.

The Sharks led the way in the Bay Area at No. 32, way ahead of the Giants (84), 49ers (87), A's (101), Warriors (109) and Raiders (116). The Angels ranked first and the Clippers last.

# Somewhat related note: On Twitter this week, the Lakers' Jeanie Buss responded to a fan inquiry by saying the NBA champions wouldn't raise ticket prices. Let's see: Twitter, giving a fan a direct response, winning an NBA title and not increasing ticket prices. Robert Rowell couldn't fathom doing any one of those things, let alone all four at the same time.

Powe would play C for Nellie, he's a tad slow, but he could be a good fit here. I've seen him handle the rock a little bit, and he's not too bad. Downside is he won't be back until possibly the all star break I hear.
