^^Î think the vuvuzuela noise contributes a lot to the confusion and lack of communication on the field, as well. And i've played with the new ball myself a couple of times...the thing really has a weird ass trajectory, the ball drops like a boulder sometimes. This is definitely hard to adjust for the players, especially the goalies, but once we see more shots from afar, we might be blessed with some beautiful goals.

I just heared the Dutch team haas been practicing with this ball for only 2 weeks.
Before that time they used different balls, due to sponsership... wtf!??

That's not going to make for a better WC. Players will indeed adjust by starting to shoot more from outside the box, but this will result not only in some great goals, but also in a lot more goalkeeper bloopers.

Besides, Germany is a "time-honored" tournament team. They will become even better in the course of the WC and grow together. This was the first time EVER that they played in this particular formation, there's still a lot of room for improvement. Besides, other top teams like Brazil, Spain, Holland, Portugal etc haven't even played yet, so it's a little early to judge.

BTW, the own goal was because of the ball too, it slightly changed direction in midair so the defender misjudged it and it went in the other direction

denmark boring.......... teams think they are gonna sit back all game and just defend by pushing a couple of players forward..........

Nothing enjoyable about this match up, glad we took the points, hope we will do better next game against Japan, the ice is broken now. And Elia really broke the game up. Best game so far is Germany that says alot coming from a dutch guy. I just love the fact that our counrty is so smalllllllll but we still matter alot.

Italy didnt do shit in the first half. Lippi is stupid for leaving Totti out . Not really a good game so far, hope for a better second half .
