^^ That's for sure, but to be considered an elite team, you can't go down 2-0 against Slovenia, period.

The comeback was great though, definitely showed a lot of heart. That's something team USA has never lacked...
Like I said before the cup started, don't underestimate Slovenia, and people are still underestimating them. This was always going to be a tough game and if teams think they will just walk into victory (england faggots) they will get rude shocks as we have seen.

I think Slovenia will hold out for another draw next game and end england's world cup with USA edging out Algeria.

DAMN! The refereeing has been great in this WC up until today (give or take a few instances) this is on some 2002 type shit.

That call was truly bullshit but like Lamberto said that shit does happen. Ask Ireland. The US shoudln't have been in that position to begin with. Why the fuck would they give dude so much space for the first goal. Oguchi shoudla closed down that shit. He played big against England but dude is still injured, they need to get him off the pitch.

Torres was worthless besides one dangerous free kick he shoudln't have started.... Edu was a good sub and deserved the winning goal. The finish was cool as fuck regardless if it counted or not

Bradley kept his head and that little run he made was perfectly timed... and he actually put the damn jabulani in the net which was tight

I don't know.... we'll see Wednesday. this group turned out to be pretty interesting

Algeria doesn't look easy for the US but good thing is they haven't scored yet :)

so they should probably get on that if they wanna beat us
USA has conceded a goal in the past so many games (not sure exact number) so if they can hold Algeria to 0 it will be a big confidence boost going into the 2nd round

If you concede thats one thing, but this conceding within 15 minutes bullshit has to stop. Luckily they've been able to bounce back.

I just keep thinking where we'd be without Rob Green :knockout:

On one hand you are right, but not all your technical ability comes from playing barefoot on concrete/gravel.

I can't speak for others, but know in Australia we (immagrants) played football on the street & in the park at a very early age. Encorperated football with everything like soccertennis, soceerbasketball using our feet instead of our hands. End result is a good technique and first touch even in our lower non leagues but not everyone wanted to go pro or had other abilities. Many around the world are similar some better but I understand exactly what you are saying, this concept is foreign to many young kids as they have evolved in the youth academies.
I didn't say that technical ability comes from playing barefoot, it comes from playing tight spaces and starting at a very early age. The latter is another very important factor that I didn't discuss before. When you start playing at the age of 2 or 3, the ball is a quarter or a third of your height and because of this and because you play in tight spaces on the street, the school yard, (and especially, the corridors of the school) you develop the habit to keep it very close to your body. Which, if you start on the full-size pitch where you can just kick the ball past the defender and outrun him, you generally do not develop. Messi is the best example of that.

When I was talking about Australia, I said that I don' know how things work there, I have spent a grand total of 8 days in Australia and I was occupied with other things during that time, so I don't have any observations. Glad to hear the game is alive there though :)

Because, as amazing as it sounds for a team that should rely on good organization and physical play due to lack of creativity up front, they are very poor at positioning and organizing themselves in the defensive phase of the game

Well that was a shitty night...fuck.
Still don't know why Podolski shot the penalty. Should have been Schweinsteiger.

But it's a good omen. Last time we missed a penalty in a game was 1974! Yeeee

Damn i was away for 1 day and had to catch up with 10 pages ..

Thanks Ant-1 about Domenech . Pretty much the same the newspapers overhere are saying too. He reminds me alot about Swedens former coach Lars Lagerbäck(coach for Nigeria now). He was hated overhere for a couple of years(he loves playing defensive above everything) before resigning now that we didnt qualify. Zlatan Ibrahimovic retired from the team aswell and that sucks though.

I missed both Slovenia - USA and England - Algeria today. First two games i've missed so far. But i watched Germany - Serbia. Some of my best friends are serbs so im glad they won. They need to stop reaching for the ball with their hands when defending haha . Germany fought hard with only 10 players ,that's impressing. Im sure they will bounce back in next match and go to the final 16. That spanish referee has an avg of 10 yellow cards per game in La Liga. Why the fuck does FIFA pick these idiots? Bring back Collina from retirement and let him have EVERY game!

Seems like Anelka gonna get fired, he had an argue with Domenech during the halftime and told him "fuck you, dirty son of a bitch", that makes the front page today. He was also laughing with Ribery in the bus after the game, Gallas gave the middle finger to a journalist after the game. Ribery and Anelka hate Gourcuff, thats why he didnt play against Mexico, and the papers also say that Gourcuff is affraid of them LMAO
South Africa will be Domenech's last game (Laurent Blanc already signed to be the new coach) but we also need to get rid of them players who dont wanna play for the country.
