Spain - Switzerland was a good game. That's a game that keeps you interested. Even though I bet on Spain, I was happy that Switzerland won...

Friday night is gonna be big. Germany vs. Serbia starts at 7:30pm and the England game at 2:30am. Gonna be an all-nighter at the bar.

^^I had Group D as the alternate group of death....I think Serbia will be a closer match for them...

NK looked good in the first half, even though they didn't have a chance. Especially Portugal is gonna have problems playing against them. I think Brazil and Ivory Coast gonna make the next round.
I could see Ronaldo having trouble making moves with 4 NK players surrounding him..good point..That defense was pretty funny to watch. When they break back onto offense it looks like the big bang..

Schweinsteiger might also not play...gonna be a tough game I think. Serbia has to win. So they will fight to the end. Worried about them injuring a couple of our players...
too much raw speed for them, I don't see Serbia being able to deal with it, Ozil will tear them apart.

They will be playing deep for most of the game so we might see a different stradegy from the Germans when on the attack, they will most likely look to pry open the Serb defence but when the Serbs do get forward, that German speed and fluent passing will be unstoppable

Damn, it seems like Gourcuff gonna sit on the bench, and Anelka + Govou gonna start tonight... Everybody right here is asking for Henry or Gignac to start and Anelka or Valbuena on the right wing but Domenech doesnt care as usual. If I gotta bet, I'd put my money on Mexico 1-0. And they'll draw with Uruguay next so they both qualify.
Argentina-South Korea will be an interesting game (Veron is injuried), Greece is weak I think Nigeria gonna win easily.

Ribery is supposed to play center midfield... I have no idea, but I'd still bet on France. Mexico was just weak against South Africa...

Yeah Ribery will take Gourcuffs place cause Malouda gonna play on the left wing. Theres a lot of rumors about Gourcuff, seems like most of the other players hate him but he's still better than Govou...

I'd Like to see France get both Malouda and Ribery in the starting 11, with Henry upfront, Anelka just might don't got it

Mexico need to be able to finish to win, they can create chances no doubt, dos Santos is the architect.

Greece are not that bad, just bad decsions in the last game, should be tight v Nigeria, 1-1.

Argentina - SK should be a good attacking game

much respect to Schweinsteiger

FIFA bans Cahill for one game

Australia midfielder Tim Cahill has escaped with a one-match ban following his red card against Germany.

Cahill had feared that FIFA would hand down a two-match suspension following his late tackle on Bastian Schweinsteiger, which would probably have ruled him out of the tournament considering Australia's drubbing in their first game.

But Cahill will now be available to face Serbia in his country's final group game on June 23.

Australia asked FIFA for leniency over the ban, and Schweinsteiger sent a letter backing the their position. He sought Cahill out following the match to tell him he thought the red card was undeserved.

what a sickcunt!

<3 Schweinsteiger

He will play. No doubt in my mind. That's what the media says here, too.

I don't think Serbia will play that deep. After all, they HAVE to win this game, they can't really afford a draw or loss, so they definitely won't play as defensive as you might think. This could provide a lot of opportunity on the counterattack for us.

My prediction: Germany 3 - Serbia 1.

got to love the Class by Argentina, the passing and movement around the box is how football should be played, not that fucking long ball rubbish by the likes of england

Argentina lookin good.
Not really. Both goals were fluke, and they haven't really created a chance after actually setting up a good play.

In the same defense is as shaky as ever.

Messi solo runs are very dangerous, but a well organized defense can easily suffocate him by simply throwing bodies at him. As we have seen in the Barcelona-Inter games and the Brazil-Argentina games in the qualifiers.

They have made progress towards providing space for him the way he has it in Barcelona, but it doesn't seem enough to me right now
