I think the Browns are much better than they're getting credit for. They've been competitive, decent defense, and a great run offense. With Hillis banged up and Delhomme/Wallace out, I can see them wildcatting to Cribbs like they did last year. This definitely isn't gonna be the pushover people are making it out to be.

Four days until Colt McCoy dies.
haha there's my thoughts Vamps.

We are a better team than our record shows...we could easily have 3 wins right now...but we really have no offense outside of Hillis.

You can't run on the Steelers so I think we're in trouble...especially of McCoy starts.

Unless we get really creative...or if Ben plays rusty...it might be a long day.

That's what I was thinking, but I also thought the Steelers would roll the Ravens 2 weeks ago, so I wanted to see what you thought..

I expect Ben to look sharp and hopefully we finally start to get Brown and Sanders more involved..

Browns are better than they are getting credit for, but PIT will crush them. I believe Ben is coming back more confident than ever. He will return to show his poise and torch the secondary, I would say PIT scores 38 points.....

Bell and Harrison have both been in the league for 5 years. Harrison has 1404 yards and Bell has 1401. I'd say its a pretty even trade. Instead of Hillis, Harrison, and Hardesty all with similar skill sets, you got a goal line back.

Only way Pitt scores 38 is if McCoy keeps turning the ball over.

As for Harrison...he wasn't getting carries anyway...this is Hillis' team now..

Harrison got traded cause he just doesn't fit here. He dances too much and goes down very easily...gets ankle tackled all the time. That doesn't work in this division.

We finally have the running game we want and that's what we're doing...we still have James Davis too who is similar to Harrison.

The Browns injury list isn't really shrinking. Still unable to practice on Thursday were 5 starters: RB Peyton Hillis, C Alex Mack, OT John St. Clair, G Floyd Womack, DE Robaire Smith, plus their top 2 QBs -- Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace -- and NT Shaun Rogers.

Oct. 15, 2010 11:29 a.m. - The starting OL should be intact Sunday with C Alex Mack and RG Floyd Womack healthy. RT Tony Pashos continues to start over the sidelined John St. Clair, but Pashos is considered a possible starter anyway. Browns RapidReports

Oct. 15, 2010 11:23 a.m. - Coach Eric Mangini said RB Peyton Hillis (quad) shouldn't be limited Sunday in Pittsburgh. He added in regard to RB Mike Bell that “my expectation is he’ll get up to speed pretty quickly.” If Bell isn't ready, James Davis will serve as backup. Browns RapidReports(good news)

Oct. 15, 2010 11:05 a.m. - Several key contributors who hadn't practiced this week have returned, including C Alex Mack, RB Peyton Hillis and NT Shaun Rogers. QBs Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace remain out with sprained ankles, and both have been all but ruled out for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh. Browns RapidReports

Looks like everyone will be ready...we're gonna need them.

Nah, you didn't hear the quotes!?

"I don't want to see anyone injured," Harrison said, "but I'm not opposed to hurting anyone."

Say what?

"There's a difference," Harrison said. "When you're injured, you can't play. But when you're hurt, you can shake it off and come back. I try to hurt people."

..........

"You hate to see anyone down like that, but then you realize he just went to sleep for a little bit and he came out of it and he's going to be OK," Harrison said.

I don't know about being suspended...I would have been happy with a flag or two and a fine.

But if you are intentionally trying to hurt people maybe it's deserved.

From PFT:

NFL ready to start suspending players for helmet-to-helmet hits

by Gregg Rosenthal on October 18, 2010 12:44 PM ET

Sunday's cavalcade of helmet-to-helmet hits could inspire real change in how such penalties are policed moving forward.

NFL vice president Ray Anderson told the The Associated Press the league may start suspending players for dangerous helmet-to-helmet hits. (They are listening to Rodney Harrison apparently.)

The change could take place immediatley. "Going forward there are certain hits that occurred that will be more susceptible to suspension," Anderson said.

The league could go even further after the season.

"[Anderson] said NFL could change rules after the season to ban all hits with helmets," Judy Battista of the New York Times relays.

So who could be suspended? Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather, Steelers linebacker James Harrison, and Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson would seem to be in the most danger. Robinson would be an especially tough hit to police because of where he made contact with Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson.

Anderson says he can handle any criticism.

"If we've got to face the backlash of those who say we're making the game too soft, then so be it," he told the New York Times.
