I think the reason a lot of people aren't feeling Tech as much is because of the way his life is changing, and that in turn changes the subject matter of his music. A lot of people like to listen to Tech because he's one of the first to rap about some really fuckin crazy shit and not sound dorky of goofy in the process. I remember when Anghellic and Absolute Power dropped, that was some totally different shit. People caught on though, because they felt his pain, it was some shit that they could relate to. They could relate to being on some crazy ass drug trip. They could relate to being torn between their good and their bad side. They could relate to havin a fucked up marriage. They could relate to just not being heard by anybody. They could relate to some crazy psycho bitch, ya know what I'm sayin? But since Tech raps his life, and he no longer has to deal with that kinda stuff as much as he used to, he isn't really consistently puttin out that type of music. He still comes hard on everything he does, he's just doing it in a different way. He's on top of his game now, and he's becoming heard all around the world. So why shouldn't he enjoy himself? Why shouldn't he make music about his enjoyment? There's no reason that he shouldn't, he's gaining listeners from everywhere, from party goers, to pill poppers, to rockers, to niggas on the grind, everywhere. People are just gonna have to accept that Tech is reaching his happiness, and his music is gonna follow it. It may let some fans down, but it's also never been Tech's intention. Or I could be wrong. We'll just have to wait till the album drops. This is just my opinion.

Fuck these "people" you speak of. I'm not part of that group. It sounds like PROGRESS.
Progress means change and it scares people. They must not realize that Tech is still Tech.

Everready must've not had Come Gangsta, My World, This is Me, Running Out Of Time, or The Melancholy Maze. MLK couldn't have had I Can Feel It, You Don't Want it and Message to the Black Man or PASEO for 2 of the 3 solo tracks...
When I see people say Tech isn't what he used to be, I just don't know what they're listening to.

What's wrong with another Anghellic or Absolute Power?? That shit never got old, I still bump it to this day. The song content is still way ahead of it's time NOW. So I wouldn't have a problem with more of it, it's not "carbon copies", it's called improving on an already intriguing subject. Anghellic and Absolute Power were "PROGRESS" when they first came out, but MLK was more of the same stuff you heard everyday, only with a better delivery. It wasn't progress. I love MLK, but compared to Anghellic and Absolute, the "wow" moments weren't as abundant. What I want is originality, and if that comes in the form of more of the same of what Tech created and intrigued me with in the first place, then so be it. I want some more This Ring, some more Trapped In A Psycho's Body, some more Come Gangsta, some more My World. Of course, that's just me. Those are the songs I tell people to listen to when I tell them to check him out. I really hope Tech lives up to the album title...

I understand peoples problems with the new Tech tracks. It boils down to them not having that "hit you in the fucking head with a bat" kind of impact that tracks like Come Gangsta, This Is Me & No Can Do had when they first leaked. Those tracks managed to shock an audience that had already come to expect nothing short of constant classics from Tech N9ne, and that was a big deal.

As good as these tracks are (and I for one like them all) they didn't surprise anyone and therefore haven't got everybody hyped up. You talk about progress, but for me this IS the "same shit". But like I said I like these songs, so it's all good, lol.

They WANT to listen to another Absolute Power or Anghellic. They want carbon copies. I like PROGRESS.
Yo i understand progress but the way this shit is sounding, his new album will be shit. Then after that, he should learn from the last one and make a better one. I don't know if thats whats being planned, skai said they are trying to sound a little more mainstream, and they do. But the way i see it, you go all the way or not, there's is no in between for this music

I'm not saying he isn't what he used to be...I'm just saying that "Smoke Sumting" (the only full song we have to judge Killer) isn't very good and will hopefully be like "Biancas and Beatrices"..a skippable song on an otherwise stellar album.

You are an idiot. You act like you know more about the music than the guy that created it. The album will be "shit"? Have you ever done an album or put out an album?
