It's only orange for the time being.That was the original color during the World's Fair.Anybody been up there?

Man I've lived in Seattle for 21 years and ain't never been up there. Oh and I'm glad it's only for the time being then. But why did they do it in the first place?? I'm glad it didn't stay that color..

I think the World Fair was here in 1962,and the needle was orange at the time.So this would be a 40th anniversary,but I was never any good at math.
